In the My Hero Ultra Rumble, players will be put in a Battle Royale match where they choose their favorite characters to play. Along with other players, you’ll need to work with one another to find the best solutions to all of the combat situations. This makes it tough for new players who have just started playing the game.
As a new player, knowing some of the basic tips and tricks or knowledge can give you a competitive edge over others. Specific characters have different characteristics and the way you use the characters. In this guide, we will give you some of the tips you can use to increase your chances of winning your first few matches as Deku.
Deku Beginner’s Guide
Deku is an Assault Type of character, which means you want to play him like a real duelist. One thing you want to keep in that is that Deku excels at medium and long range. As you fight, you can always try to maintain a distance with your opponents and deal damage from a far.
Deku Skills
When it comes to your skills, prioritize leveling up your projectile skills first. Your first ability (a) allows you to shoot projectiles at your enemies.
This makes Deku a character that’s good at long range. This makes the ability your main source of damage and is the skill you want to level up.
Other than that, you can use the kick ability (B) to close the distance between you and your opponent and fight at shorter range.
The kick ability allows your character to move a far distance. This means that you can use the ability to also escape and increase your survivability.
When you are crouching with Deku, you can then use your projectile ability for extra damage. The rest of your charges will be used upon you cast this attack.
Another thing to keep it mind is that the damage of the charged ability does not scale with how many charges you have.
This means that whether you have 10 or 1 charges left, the charged attack will both do 150 damage. In order not to waste your ability’s bullet charges, you’ll want to shoot 9 times. Then, crouch to charge your last attack to maximize your damage output.
Your next ability is Blackwhip, which allows you to throw a whip at an opponent. After you land the attack, it will pull the opponent towards you.
Then, you’ll perform rapid punches at your opponent, dealing damage to them. This ability is something you can use as a combo starter.
Another use for the ability is that you can attach the Blackwhip to objects. This will allow you to drag yourself towards that object.
This is particularly useful if you need to get closer to your opponent or further away from them. Attaching this onto mountains or high platforms can also give you an advantage in many situations.
Your ultimate ability allows you to drag a fallen teammate and put them on your back. During this time, you’ll have increased speed, which you can utilize to get both people to safety.
Once you’re all safe, you can start reviving your teammates and turn the battle to your favor.
Tips & Tricks
Other than that, there are also some character non-related tips to help you increase your chances of winning.
You can start gathering items for both yourself and your teammates early on so that you can start leveling your preferred abilities, increasing your damage. As you fight, remember to position yourself near your teammates so they can help you whenever necessary.
That’s some beginner tips for you to use when it comes to playing Deku in My Hero Ultra Rumble. This assault class character has a lot of mobility with his abilities and a long-range damage tool, which makes him really new player friendly.
