Mother Gothel is a sly and conniving character in the Tangled movie, and it is great to see that her characterization seems to be carrying over to the game. While Mother Gothel is the villain in Tangled, her, along with other Disney villains in the game, have come together to live in harmony in Dreamlight Valley. They may do something mischievous every now and then, but no one is getting hurt from it, so everything is alright. In this guide, we will focus on taking her quest called “My Kingdom for a Scroll”.
Disney Dreamlight Valley – My Kingdom For A Scroll
When starting the quest, you are tasked to collect 50 Softwood, 30 Soil, and a Box of Electronic Components from WALL-E’s house. 50 Softwood and 30 Soil, despite the large number you need to collect, is actually very easy. Softwood can be found all over the Meadow and Plaza, just around the trees and such. You can see them on the ground and pick them up. Soil as well, just use your shovel and dig up the ground until you get 30 Soil. Just be sure to fix the mess you made.
After getting the Softwood and Soil, go to WALL-E’s house (the large, mechanical vehicle) and head inside. In the back, next to the shelves, is the Box of Electronic Components. You can see it easily since it’s glowing on the ground. Pick it up and now, you have to craft the Micberry Tree.
After getting the Micberry Tree crafted, head to Scrooge’s store and plant the tree next to it. To do that, you need to go to your build mode and plant the tree next to it. Anywhere you want, as long as the tree is in proximity of the store.
After planting the tree, you will need to talk to Goofy, then Mother Gothel. Afterwards, she will ask you to find Scrooge McDuck’s Key to open Scrooge McDuck’s Locked Chest.
Head to the Glade of Trust and go to the fishing pond. Look for the red circle in the pond and cast your fishing line towards it. Once you complete the quick time event, you should get Scrooge McDuck’s Key.
Next is to find Scrooge McDuck’s Locked Chest. You can find the chest buried under the ground, next to the Mystical Cave entrance. You should see it sparkling on the ground. Use the shovel to dig it out of the ground and pick it up. Bring both the key and the chest to Mother Gothel, and the quest will be complete.
