Once Human allows you to rebuild yourself a home in the post-apocalyptic world. Players have now discovered a secret spot in Once Human that has an insane amount of yield for raw materials that’s almost infinite. This guide will tell you all you need to know about the perfect base-building spot!

Best Base Spot Location (Infinite Acid & Fuel)

You can build your base in this location and, as a result, obtain a great deal of various raw materials even when you’re not farming them. For instance, your water pumps will not only pull out polluted water, but they will also extract barrelled crude oil! The place is filled with infinite resources and here’s what we’ll cover related to farming and extracting in this spot:

  1. The location
  2. Acid and Oil Production
  3. Automated Farming and Deviants
  4. Meat Production
  5. Defense Advantage

Keep reading for the detailed guide.

Base Location

To unlock this area, you’ll need to be at level 25 and above. The spot is located at the Red Sands Region, next to the Blackfell city on the Blackfell Oil Fields.

The black-grayish spots on the map indicate oil. So if you build your base anywhere near the black tinted area, your equipment should be extracting some oil.

This means that if your base is at least touching one of the brown spots (oil fields) on the ground, your base will extract crude oil for you.

Any neighbors in that location, if their base is even just slightly touching the fields, they are also technically part of the oil fields. The oil field is slightly polluted but also not enough to affect you so that’s a plus.

The Base bug

The base bug makes moving a little risky so it’s always a gamble but so far there aren’t many complaints from players. The bug still exists, nonetheless.  You can always take that risk and find out and if nothing happens, you get to keep your base with infinite resources!

Acid And Oil Production

If you’re looking to get a high amount of Acid and Oil Production, here’s what you need to do.

For acid production, you’ll need to place your water pumps in the polluted area.

You can check your Pollution detector backpack to find a polluted spot. Now, since your pumps are also in an oil area because that’s where you’ve built your base, it will produce both acid and oil.

You’ll notice that the pumps will produce barrelled crude oil.

And if you connect this to the Osmosis Water Purifier, you’ll see that it is also pumping out polluted water. The polluted water is then being transformed into impure Acid.

You can then take this impure acid and place them into barrels.

The barrels will take the 2:1 ratio and will produce acid while you sleep slowly over time. When it’s ready you can just take it out and craft many things with them, the possibility is endless.

Remember that you’ll also need Pure water, so ensure that you build an additional water purifier that will essentially get water from your Water Tank.

So here’s how it goes: you’ll need a water tank connected to the Water Purifier via a pipe. The water purifier will turn water into clean water for your barrels.

Downside

The downside to this area is that you cannot produce dirty water. This is because as soon as your base touches the brown area on the ground as stated in the previous points, your equipment will not pull up dirty water from the ground that can be turned into clean water.

It’s only going to extract crude oil and polluted water that turns into impure acid and then usable acid. But this is not a pressing concern because water farming is really simple and the most accessible in the game. We’ll tell you what you need to do.

Farming Dirty Water

Since you can’t access dirty water through your base, you’ll need it from an outside source. Luckily it’s not hard to find a water source nearby. Just go to the nearby water source with an empty inventory and collect as much water as you can carry.

Since water is the easiest resource to farm, all of the advantages from the bad outweighs this small downside by a great amount, making it extremely worth it. Doing this should produce around 300 dirty water. Take the water back to your base and place it into your water tank.

The water from the tank will go into your Osmosis water purifier and release clean water into your brewing barrels. You can extract your clean water from these barrels once they’re filled.

Making ale in Once Human

Notice how the brewing barrel has wheat. This will help produce some Ale for you. Your Brewing barrels will make the impure acid and beer at the same time.

Beers that your barrels produce

The beers are really helpful for many situations. The barrels do not only produce a single ale but two different kinds of ale depending on the kind of wheat (deviated or normal) you place into them. You’ll have:

  • Malt Ale: This Ale helps in maintaining your sanity for 30 minutes and gives an additional 1000 sanity plus Hydration.

  • Stardust Malt Ale:  This ale helps you roll, reload and shoot faster while killing bosses, making boss fights at a faster pace.

What to do with the Crude Oil

Don’t forget to extract the Barreled crude oil directly from the water pumps every morning to make room for more extraction. Then you take the crude oil and place it into your oil refineries.

Refining facility in Once Human

The oil refinery process is relatively slow and this might take more time compared to the other processes.

All of this will ensure that your acid and Fuel will run smoothly! Let’s see how you can use automated farming in this land.

Automated Farming and Deviants

Since you’ll need to grow some wheat in your base, you’ll also need a water irrigation system. The irrigation will automatically water your nearby crops.

The automatic irrigation facility works by being connected to the tiny water pump which is producing pure water.

Growshroom Deviant

Additionally, there’s also a little deviant helping us out in the irrigation. The Growshroom deviant helps ensure that your crops are growing flawlessly.

Not only does the Growshroom harvest your wheat. If you go over to his box in the room you’ve placed your devainst and you give him all your seeds, he will also automatically plant them.

If you’re looking to get your own Growshroom in order to watch your crops flourish but have no idea where to find one, we have just the thing for you. Check out this guide on How To Get Growshroom Deviant in Once Human

There is a wide variety of plant options you can grow with this deviant as long as you have the seeds. If you’re not a big fan of beer, you can choose resources like potatoes, mushrooms, cabbages and much more!

Buzzy Bee Deviant

Another helpful deviant addition for the crops in your base is the Buzzy Bee. The Bee helps them deviate now and then.

The Buzzy Bee essentially increases the chances that your crops will mutate. Mutated crops are different from your normal crops and will open up more crafting options in the game.

For instance, the Buzzy Bee will turn your normal wheat into the deviated version. You can use this deviated wheat to make Stardust Malt Ale, instead of the normal Malt Ale. The Stardust version has more properties like making your fighting faster during combat.

You can find the deviant in the farmland near Deadsville in the Dayton Wetlands region. All you have to do is go northwest from Deadsville to find that farmland. The coordinates are 5697, -5239

Now that we’ve covered our acid, oil, water, ale and deviants, what’s left is our Food. Let’s see what we can do for some meat production.

Meat Production

For meat production, we’ll need help from yet another one of our little friends; the deviants. The lethal rabbit will be responsible for all of the hunting to bring some meat to you.

Lethal rabbit for meat in Once Human

The rabbit can hunt: goat meat, deer meat, rabbit meat, beats meat and more. The lethal rabbit will hunt for these meats overnight and bring them to you in the morning. You can then take this meat and cook yourself a nice meal to replenish your hunger and once again become fit to fight in battle.

You can check out the list of recipes and if you have the ingredients, you can make yourself something to eat.

The Canned Lunch meat for instance gives you maximum stamina and an HP boost. Similarly, other foods also give you some sort of stats boost. You’ll also need some Aluminum Ingots.

You can make yourself enough food to last you a couple of days. Which means you don’t have to interact with your rabbit daily, just occasionally when your meta  stick is running out.

Here’s How to get the Lethal Rabbit in Once Human.  It involves killing regular rabbits but you can check out the guide for more info!

Now let’s proceed to the last thing to consider for your base which is Defense!

Defense

Your base is occasionally going to have some unfriendly visitors so make sure you’re equipped to deal with them.

Start by ensuring that your tower has power and the gun attached to your base functions properly so it can shoot any enemies that try to infiltrate. A functioning gun is all you need to protect your brand new base!
