Defeating a boss:

For the best build in defeating a boss, here’s what you need.

Mod enhancement in Once Human
  • Recurve Crossbow

The cross bow gives us a 30% crit rate while landing a weak spot hit.

Mod: Vulnerability amplifier- Bull’s eye

This adds vulnerability by 8% which does work even when you’re swapping back to the main weapon.

  • Long Axe

For a heavy weapon, choose the Long Axe.

Mod: Shock Diffusion Talent

Gears

  • Mayfly Goggles

The Mayfly Goggles are unique armor. There is only one of this armor type. It’s stats are Power surge trigger count + 1 and power surge DMG -30%

  • Shelterer Mask

Mod: Thunderclap – Talents

This mod states: after triggering power surge 20 times, the next hit summons a celestial thundershock DMG of 200% of Psi Intensity. The mod also has good elemental attributes along with good reload speed and mag capacity. This is perfect since we’re considering a boss-killing build.

  • Heavy Duty Gloves

Heavy Duty gloves set for additional elemental damage.

Mod: Crit Boost – Talent

The mod has a +15% crit rate.

  •  Heavy Duty Shoes

Mod: Covered Advanced Talent

This mod allows you to take no damage within 4 seconds, it grants you 20% melee, weapon and status damage for 30 seconds.

  • Sheltered Top and Pants

Mod: Flame Resonance – Talents

Both the top and pants have the same mod that gives Flame Resonance status DMG +12%. Since both are elemental and have status damage, this will have a good and favorable outcome in battle. The mod also gives status damage reduction where you take less status damage.

The Cradle

Cradle in Once Human

The cradle has:

  1. Steady Hands: The extra damage from steady hands is good but ensure that you remember to do it with the ax.
  2. Automatic Weapon Enhancement: this one can be used with rifles
  3. First Round Blast: After reloading you get a power surge DMG for 4 seconds
  4. Status Enhancement: After hitting a weak spot, damage becomes +25% for 3 seconds.
  5. Tactical Combo: Weapon DMG +25% while reloading ro switching weapons.
  6. Master Tactician: After using a tactical item, DMG against bosses increases by +25% for 15 seconds. You can also use molotovs against bosses just to max it up a bit.
  7. Transient Impact: After triggering power surge, you get a +25% power surge DMg increase for 3 seconds.
  8. Deviation Master: Having your Deviant fight alongside increases DMG by 50% against other Deviants.

Accessories

As far as the accessories go, we have the:

  • Muzzle Hammer Compensator for accuracy and stability
  • Purple Reflex Sight
  • Tactical laser sight for accuracy while aiming down sights
  • Extended Rifle Mag for more ammo and calibration

Aside from these, there’s also the “calibration addition” where mag capacity is increased by 75%. The gears are all maxed calibrated.

Potions and Food

For potions we have the Whimsical Potion:

Whimsical drink in Once Human

Adding Bellflower gives you a bonus. The dish points effects are plus 10%

And for food, there’s Shellfish:

Shelfish meat

With the Shellfish, hitting an enemy grants vulnerability + 5% for 10 seconds. This means things will take more damage. It does not stack but can still be extremely useful.

The shellfish is also super easy to make. All it requires is Shellfish, sugar and pure water.

Deviant

The Polar Jellyfish can be of great help with this build when fighting bosses, causing an insane amount of damage on your enemies. We have guide to help you obtain this deviant just check out: How To Get Polar Jelly Deviant.

Polar Jelly Deviant in Once Human

You can now try out this build on a boss! You’ll notice that the DPS will be insane. The Jellyfish helps a lot. The only downside is that you can’t hit bosses that are moving too well.

Fighting Mobs

If you’re fighting mobs, here are the changes you can make:

Change your shoe mod into Ruthless Reaper. With this mod, getting two kills refills your magazine by 100%. Quick refills is something you need when fighting mobs due the intensity of battle by a lot of enemies.

Next, you can change your chest mod into the Rejuvenating mod. When HP is above 60%, a single kill will recover 15% of lost HP.

This is all for a general farming build. There’s’ not much change required, just little tweaks here and there. Now, let’s move toward some tips you can use in the game!

Tips

  • If you do the optionals when fighting mobs, you can get 22,000 energy links.
  • At a lower level, you can use a bow to kill the mobs. As you get higher, you’ll be taking more damage and facing more elite and the bow may not cut it.
  • If you’re playing solo, you can summon your wolf to get more damage.
  • Reloading on two kills and constant healing are the keys to surviving the mob battles.
  • Use drinks to prevent sanity from going up.
  • Make sure to kill the doppelganger

And that is all for the complete build guide! If you have any more tips and tricks that could help out fellow players, you can let us know in the comments below. While you’re here also check out our guide on A Family Legacy Quest Guide in Once Human
