Once Human is already one of the best survival games out there, and one of the biggest reasons for that is that it enables you to get cute little deviants for yourself to help you in battles or around your base. These deviants are incredibly beneficial for many things. The Nutcracker Deviant is one of the deviants who will patrol your base and make sure that it is safe around there. In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to get Nutcracker Deviant in Once Human.
How To Get Nutcracker Deviant
In order to get the Nutcracker Deviant in Once Human, you are going to need to complete a monolith. Thus, we can say that this one is not going to be easy to get. Moreover, you are going to need to be at least 50 levels before heading to this location. You can still have access to this area with a lower level, but, you will have a low chance of surviving.
SIDE NOTE: We have a complete guide for all Deviant locations in Once Human, make sure to check it out as well!
The Great One you are going to face at this monolith is named The Forsaken Giant. This enemy is a Level 60 enemy, and the game recommends you play this battle with four players. You can still be successful with two or three people, but you are going to need a lot of ammo and health support.
How to Defeat The Forsaken Giant
Since The Forsaken Giant is a 60-level Great One, it is not going to be easy to defeat it. Yet, of course, you will be successful if you have enough ammo and health support supplies.
The boss will only attack you after you’ve made the first move, so analyze the Forsaken Giant before attacking it. You should be able to see many red areas on the boss that indicate weak points where you can shoot to do more damage to the gigantic creature.
Any weapon with a high rate of fire is ideal for this boss fight, as a constant onslaught of assaults on certain vulnerability points can deplete the Giant’s health.
You’ll also want to use high-accuracy equipment to regularly target the Giant’s weak places. Bring machine guns or revolvers with heavy damage to deal with this boss throughout the fight.
Try to find a position where you can easily target each weak point. Don’t forget to pack healing supplies or anything that can restore your character’s sanity so that you can stay in excellent shape throughout the fight. The Forsaken Giant is infamous for dealing a lot of damage quickly, forcing you to heal quickly before it attacks again.
The Forsaken Giant has three phases you need to beat. In each phase, it will perform different moves. Let’s check out all the moves to make it easier for you to defeat it.
The Forsaken Giant Phase 1 Moves
Move Name | Information | Dealing with the Move |
---|---|---|
Stomp | The Forsaken Giant stomps the earth, causing a large Area of Effect shockwave near the strike. | To dodge this strike, move to the outskirts of the boss area, far from where the Giant stomps. |
Slamming Hands | The Giant raises its hands and smacks both fists back down, sending a massive tremor throughout the whole boss arena. | Jump or dodge at the last second as the shockwave hits your character. This move is extremely difficult to avoid, however, you may be able to reach the edge of the blast in either corner of the arena. |
Arm Swipe | The Forsaken Giant sweeps its arm across the arena, attempting to strike your player with an outstretched hand. | Move to the other side of the arena from where you saw the Giant’s arm begin. This is easier to do when you are at the arena’s edge or near the boss. |
Energy Orbs | Raising its head, the Giant launches multiple energy bullets at your character, honing in on them until they explode on impact. | Shoot orbs to eliminate them before they reach your character. |
The Forsaken Giant Phase 2 Moves
The second phase begins when the Forsaken Giant’s weak points show on its hands rather than other body parts. The Giant will summon Elite minions to distract you during the second phase, but its moves are identical to the first. It will become more aggressive, giving you fewer opportunities to deliver enough damage to trigger the final phase.
Thus, since you will mainly try to deal with the minions of the Great One, the moves will stay the same. Yet, be extra careful as it is going to be much more difficult to deal damage.
The Forsaken Giant Phase 3 Moves
The third phase adds new minions to fight alongside the Giant, including The Arbiter, a formidable foe you won’t want to overlook. Before you can focus on the monster, you must first manage your ammo and defeat all minions. But don’t get too sidetracked—in addition to the attacks you’ve already seen, the Forsaken Giant has a new move that you should be ready for.
- Red Energy Pillar: The Forsaken Giant imbues a character with red energy, making them shine. After a brief period, the boss will slam into the area where the player has been marked. Each area of the boss arena can take this attack three times before being destroyed. Do not allow this attack to strike the same location repeatedly enough to destroy it. If you see your character glow red as the Giant slams, dodge the blow and relocate to another location in the arena.
During the third phase, the Giant’s weak places are continuously changing, making them difficult to target as you move about. Try to avoid the environmental hazards generated by its new attack and maintain the pressure to deplete its health completely. Once you defeat the Forsaken Giant, you will have a chance to get Nutcracker Deviant.
How to Use Nutcracker Deviant
When you put it in an isolated securement silo in your base, the Nutcracker Deviant will patrol your base for any possible threats. In order to give this deviant a mood boost, you need to place certain things near its securement area. These are:
- Place it beneath the green light.
- Keep at least one toy nearby.
- Provide it with five watts of energy.
This way, your deviant will get a mood booster and work faster for you.
This is how to get Nutcracker Deviant in Once Human. If you are exhausted because of all the fights and stuff, take a break from trying to defeat Great Ones and get yourself Hug In A Bowl Deviant too so you can enjoy a bowl of homemade noodle soup and restore your sanity a little.
