Gathering materials in survival crafting games is an essential part of the gameplay loop. Sometimes though, these games have a lot of different items and materials you can gather, and it can get confusing. High-level items can be tougher to get and if you’re a new player, it might not be as obvious!
In Once Human, as you progress through the story, you’ll see a lot of different regions with higher and higher levels. With that, comes higher-grade materials that you can use to craft better items. One of them is Peppercorn.

How To Get Peppercorns
When you run around the large open world map of Once Human, you might encounter all sorts of materials for crafting. The further you get through the game the more you’ll find and the higher grade you’ll get. One of the items needed for high-level crafting of recipes is Peppercorns.
Here are the ways that you can get peppercorns in Once Human:
- Loot from Storage Crates around Red Sands.
- Buy from the store in Blackwell which is located in Red Sands.
- Grow Peppercorn yourself by buying the seeds from Blackwell and growing them.

Detailed Walkthrough
If you want to get Peppercorns to use in crafting like making recipes that can give you bonuses, then you should know where to look. Like most crafting and building materials in the game, you can get Peppercorns from opening Storage Crates. The crates that can be found around the Red Sands region.
What’s also inside the Red Sands region is the area of Blackwell where most of the NPCs are. You can interact with one of the shops in that area to get Peppercorns. One of the shops there will sell a total of 3 Peppercorns per day and they cost 50 Energy Links.
From the same NPC, you can also buy Peppercorn seeds which you can then plant at your base and let them grow. This is the best way to regularly get this material and you don’t have to wait for daily limits to reset!
