Once Human: Unstable Bomber Jaws Build Guide (Phase 2 Legendary Mods – PVE & PVP)

Despite being only at phase 2 of the first season as of writing this, there is a ton of build variety in Once Human. With weapons, especially higher rarity ones, having special effects that interact with various mods and equipment pieces, there’s a lot of experimentation to be had. In this guide, we’ll be sharing a build that takes advantage of the Unstable Bomber keyword and the Jaws legendarygun.

Unstable Bomber Jaws Build Guide (Phase 2 Legendary Mods – PVE & PVP)

The Jaws pistol is a weapon that you can get from the Wish Machine either through some lucky gacha rolls or by buying the blueprint straight up for 8,000 Starchrom. If you are looking to emulate this build, you must have this weapon.

The pistol not only has the Unstable Bomber keyword, but it also allows it to deal critical strike damage, making it extremely powerful with the right setup.

This build in particular will require a lot of gacha luck or around 16,000 Starchrom if going for direct purchases. You will need the following blueprints from the Wish Machine:

  • Shaman Vulture Top – Increases crit rate whenever Unstable Bomber is procced.
  • DE.50 Jaws – The main weapon we’ll be using with the build due to how it allows the Unstable Bomber’s blasts to deal crit damage, which it normally cannot do (unless the AI-powered ingame wiki is incorrect).

Helpful Mods to Have

Some armor mods that you can use that complement well with this build are the following, preferably legendary, ones:

  • Point Detonation (Mask Mod) – This has the effect of increasing the final damage of Unstable Bomber if you are only hitting a single enemy with the blasts.
  • Momentum Up (Helmet Mod) – Increases fire rate for the first half of a magazine, and then boosts weapon damage for the other 50%.
  • Deadshot (Bottom Mod) – This will boost crit damage on guns whenever you deal a critical hit. Effect resets every reload.
  • Covered Advance (Shoes Mod) – Will increase your weapon and status damage for half a minute if you don’t take damage for a few seconds. Particularly good for the keyword as blast is counted as a status.
  • Crit and/or Status Damage Mods – For the remaining slots, any combination of generic critical rate or status damage core effect mods with DPS related sub attributes will suffice.

Finding these mods is purely reliant on RNG, so you’ll just have to keep looting gear crates or clearing silos all around the map in order to hopefully get what you need for this specific setup.

Cradle Overdrive Setup

For your cradle overdrive nodes, taking the Handgun Enhancement is a no-brainer since the main gun for this build is a pistol. Other useful ones to experiment with are the following:

  • Deviation Master – Boosts damage when your deviation is summoned in combat. Can be great for maximizing DPS depending on what combat deviation you are using.
  • Tactical Combo – Increases weapon damage whenever you switch weapons or reload. This is good in general, but when Jaws is paired with a weapon that inflicts Bull’s Eye, it can be a massive boost.
  • Status Enhancement – Increases status dmg whenever you hit a weak spot.
  • First Round Blast – Increases damage output after reloading as well.
  • Brawl Boost – You may as well take this if you are opted in for PVP, otherwise, this is not really required.
  • Sprint – This one is just nice to have overall, regardless of your build. It increases movement speed and reduces your stamina drain while running.

Optional Choices for Maximizing DPS

If you want to really sweat it and have the necessary blueprints, you can add in a Recurve Crossbow as your secondary weapon. This weapon in particular will inflict The Bull’s Eye on a target when you hit a weak spot.

The Bull’s Eye adds 8% vulnerability to the target, increasing your damage output against them for a brief moment. With the Vulnerability Amplifier mod, you can further increase how much vulnerability is applied to the target.

On the calibration side of things, if you have a Rapid Shot Style blueprint with bonus elemental damage or crit rate, you can replace the default one of the Jaws for some more DPS.

If you have any variation of the Super Charged weapon mod, it should be obvious that you have to use it on your Jaws as well. This will provide a stacking Unstable Bomber dmg boost every time the effect procs.

Finally, the Lonewolf Set will grant you some huge critical rate and damage boosts throughout any fight. Otherwise, the much easier to acquire Falcon Set will suffice, as long as you have at least three pieces of it on.

And that is all you need to know in order to emulate this very niche but incredibly impactful build. While you’re here, check out our guide on how to get rich quick in Once Human as well, because you’re going to need a lot of energy links to fully calibrate all of your gear.
