Get those spaces in lockdown!

Overwatch 2 when it released took a bit of a controversy to the already big pile of controversy Blizzard was having. Many players thought that Overwatch 2 was just Overwatch 1.5, and for good reason, at launch it barely had new content. Despite this the game is still going with new content and with that new players are flocking in because it’s now free to play. This game can be played casually with some modes, but for those players who like playing competitively they should know the ropes of he game. In this guide we’ll tell you about creating space.

Creating Space Complete Guide For Overwatch 2

The term “Creating Space” is a tactic in overwatch that involves certain spaces or points in the map that are either highly advantageous for your team to have, dangerous for the enemy to have or a mixture of both.

Learning where these spaces are and how to take them is often a key to winning the match, or at the very least help in winning the match.

As you can see from above, there are two spaces that is crucial in this map, the one on top is a back door or flanking route to your team while the one on the bottom is the most contested in a head-on team clash.

The flanking route must be secured so that you the enemy can’t disrupt and attack you from behind, while the main route needs to be taken to take control of the map.

Now that you know where these spaces are you should then learn how to effectively take them. Flanking routes can be taken by DPS players easily since it’s not the main route for the team. To help with taking spaces healers can keep the fight longer while tanks can mitigate damage while the DPS helps clear out the space.

Another great way to take space is to divert attention from that space, it doesn’t need to be the entire team, but flanking teammates can redirect the fire from the bulk of the team.

Still the best way to take control of a space is the simplest way, and that’s to remove the enemy from it.

Congratulations you now know the basics of taking space in Overwatch 2, now go out there and secure those points for your team!
