Palworld’s new Feybreak update has been out for a while now and players have already begun to master a lot of the systems. As a result, we have already seen a lot of efficient base setups. However, quite a few players are still confused about how electricity works in relation to oil and the new incubator.

If you’re having trouble with this, we have you covered! In this guide, we’ll show you how electricity works and how you can set your base up for generating it. Without further delay, let’s get into it!

Electricity Guide

If you’re confused about how electricity works in Palworld, we’ll go over that at the start. Next, we’ll look at everything you need for the specific setup that you need for Incubators and Crude Oil Extractors.

This will involve setting up your Pals, Generators and Accumulators. We’ll also go over all the stats so you know what the best setup is.

Generators And Work Level

Starting off, to be able to use Crude Oil Extractors and Incubators, you’ll need to provide power as these devices will drain power. We recommend that you set up your base on the location shown below on the Feybreak map.

This is because you’ll be able to find three oil nodes which will allow you to set up 6 Crude Oil Extractors. As for the Incubators, you can set them up wherever you want.

Finally, it is time to set up the Generators so that you can provide power. We recommend that you set up a Large Generator compared to the normal one. This is because these generate power x3 times faster than regular generators, making them more efficient.

Additionally, Large Generators also store up to 1M energy compared to the 250k energy stored by normal generators.

Electricity generation also relates to the work speed of the Pals themselves. The work speed of the Pals is related to Generating Electricity Level.

Here is a breakdown of the work speed compared to the Pal’s electricity generation level:

  • Level 1
    • Work Speed: 250
  • Level 2
    • Work Speed: 500
  • Level 3
    • Work Speed: 100
  • Level 4
    • Work Speed: 2000
  • Level 5
    • Work Speed: 4000
  • Level 5+ Maxed
    • Work Speed: 31601.

Of course, to make sure you are generating electricity you will need to ensure that your generation exceeds the drain of the machines. Here is a breakdown of the drain from each machine:

  • Crude Oil Extractor
    • No Research: 6000
    • Research: 4800
  • Large Egg Incubator
    • No Research: 2000
    • Research: 1600

So, if you feel like you are not generating enough electricity, it means your generation is lower than the drain. In that case, you will need to take measures to increase the electricity you produce.

Depending on the Pals that you are choosing, the electricity generation will be different. You can check the level of power you are generating when you place your pals inside the generator.

If you see that the generators are not accumulating power and eventually going to 0, it means that your Pals are not enough and you’ll need to add more. Keep in mind that research, structure buffs and food buffs all play a role in how well your pals generate electricity.

Accumulators Setup

Accumulators can be used to store electricity, and each can store up to 100k. So, to store the amount of electricity of one Large Generator you will need 10 of these. So, for this setup, you’ll be using a lot of them if you want power to be provided during the night.

Keep in mind that one night lasts around 5.5 minutes.

Based on that, for one large scale incubator, you will need around 7 Accumulators. So, with a base with a bunch of Extractors and Incubators, you’ll likely need 100s of them.

This will be difficult at the start but with time, you end up getting maxed out Pals that should make it easier. In this way, you’ll be able to power both your Extractors and Incubators!

That’s everything you need to know for the electricity guide in Palworld: Feybreak. Hopefully, you’ll now be able to set up an efficient base and not worry about electricity generation. The Accumulators will be challenging at the start but eventually you’ll be able to take care of your base at night too.

Now that we’ve looked at electricity generating pals, you might also need some for watering at your base. Check out our best base watering pals guide to see which ones provide the best base passives!
