Pal Souls—a must-have resource for upgrading your Pals in Palworld. But let’s be honest, farming these souls can be a real pain, especially with the new Feybreak update introducing Giant Pals. So, what’s the plan? We’re going to maximize breeding efficiency—yes, it’ll take a lot of cakes, but don’t worry. In this guide, I’ll share the best methods to farm Pal Souls quickly and efficiently—perfect for upgrading your Pals or preparing for tough bosses like Xenolord Ultra.

BEST Pal Soul Farm Guide

Pal Souls are critical for upgrading your Pals, enhancing their stats, and unlocking advanced abilities. However, farming these resources can feel tedious. Thankfully, with the power of breeding, you can generate an infinite supply of Small, Medium, Large, and Giant Pal Souls while saving time and resources!

First things first, you need the right Pals—the ones that drop Pal Souls we’re after. Here are the best ones:

  • Anubis – Drops bones, has a chance for Tech Books, and the Alpha version can drop the Ring of Earth Resistance.
  • Frostallion Noct – Drops quartz, and the Alpha version can drop the Ring of Dark Resistance (+2).
  • Necromus – Drops Paldium Ingots, and the Alpha version can drop Precious Entrails and Ancient Civilization Parts.

I personally recommend focusing on Anubis to stock up on Tech Parts for future updates. However, if you need Paldium Ingots, Necromus is a solid alternative. Frostallion Noct is probably the weakest option since quartz and bones are fairly easy to farm elsewhere.

Traits to Look For

When choosing your breeding Pals, make sure they have the following traits:

  • Philanthropist – This is the most important one! It reduces egg spawn time.
  • Nocturnal – Great for farming at night.
    • Frostallion Noct and Necromus are Dark Pals, so they don’t need Nocturnal.
  • Diet Lover or Master of Fasting – Helps cut down on food consumption, which is always a plus.
    • NOTE: Pretty much anything to decrease hunger and keep up sanity.

With Philanthropist on one Pal, eggs spawn every 2.5 minutes (instead of 5 minutes). If both Pals have Philanthropist, the spawn time drops to 1 minute 40 seconds—basically 3 eggs in the time it normally takes for 1 egg.

Hatch and Process Eggs Efficiently

Now that you’ve optimized egg production, let’s talk about hatching and collecting:

  1. Mass Egg Hatchers – Use these to speed up hatching. If you’ve set the egg timer to zero, they’ll hatch automatically. Otherwise, prepare several hatchers in advance.
  2. Assembly Conveyor – Once the eggs hatch, throw the Pals into the Automated Assembly Conveyor to process them quickly. You can collect them manually or let your Pals handle it—whatever works best for your setup.
  3. Work Speed Hack: Set the work speed in the Pal Stand to Extreme. This speeds up egg production without causing hunger or sanity loss in Pals, making it perfect for mass breeding setups.
    • I haven’t tested the work speed boost myself, but I saw a video demonstrating its effectiveness. My current base is dedicated entirely to breeding with maxed-out work speed, and it runs smoothly.

Wrap-Up

Breeding is the easiest and most efficient way to stockpile Pal Souls for upgrades in Palworld Feybreak. With the right setup— Philanthropist traits, and automated processes, you’ll never run out of resources again. Personally, I prefer focusing on Anubis farms for tech manuals and future-proofing my setup. But you can easily adapt this strategy for any resources you need.

I’ve been experimenting with breeding to generate an infinite number of Pal Souls, and it’s been a game-changer! I use a simple AFK expedition trick that gathers up to 6 medium, 7 large, and 4-6 giant souls every 5.51 minutes while I’m watching TV. It’s the most chill way to farm Pal Souls—seriously, who’s more relaxed than that?
