Despite still being in early access, Palworld has taken the gaming world by storm and has just released a huge update called Feybreak in which they added an entirely new island with all sorts of mysteries to uncover. In this guide, we will be showing you how to get Chromite, which is a resource that you will need as you explore the new additions!
How to Get Chromite | Feybreak
According to the game’s update notes, Chromite is a resource that is buried under the ground. In order to find it, you will need either a device or a pal that can detect metal underground. In this case, a metal detector will come in handy.
In order to make one of these, you are going to need to hit level 56 first so that you can get the research node for it. To actually craft the thing, you are going to need the following resources and a Production Assembly Line:
- 30 Plasteel
- 100 Paldium Fragments
- 30 Circuit Boards
- 20 Nightstar Sand
Once you have a metal detector, you pretty much have everything you need to start looking for Chromite. They can be found all over the map, but the easiest way to get some is by going into dungeons and caves.
Some caves will have around two to three nodes in them, and all you need to do is keep using the Metal Detector until ore nodes with a flag on them appear on the ground. These are the Chromite nodes, and all you need to do is start smacking them with a pickaxe.
Again, these nodes can be found all over the map, but people have noted that dungeons within the Feybreak region will have a ton more of them. If you are gunning for nodes in those places, be ready to fight new pals and bosses that have a relatively high level!
If you have a pal like Smokie, which has the Dig, Dog! Dig! skill, do not forget to have it out before you start hitting a Chromite node. If you have an active Smokie, your yield from each node will significantly go up!
And that is everything you need to know about this new resource in Palworld’s Feybreak update. There are still so much more to discover as the community explores and experiments with all of the added content, so get out there and start roaming the new region as well!
