2023 Halloween Update Everything To Know
In their recent Steam news and updates, the developers of Party Animals have stated that the Halloween Update will have an estimated release date of October 30, 2023.
The update will include a lot of stuff. However, we’ll focus on the big additions to the game to keep things interesting.

There will be a new map in the game and it’s going to be called “Castleween.” As you can tell from the name, it’s going to be some spooky dark castle. A perfect place for your cute animals can fight in this November.
The game has also added many quality-of-life features to make the player’s experience a lot smoother. Here are the QoL changes they’ll be making for the update:
- Adds Text chat and Voice Bubbles display on the final scoreboard page after a game.
- From the locker, you can now jump to the specific achievement needed to unlock a certain outfit.
- Added a UI to distinguish outfits that are already obtained on the Surprise Egg info page.
- When you’re banned, you’ll now be shown a reason for your ban in the login interface.
The update also has a lot of optimization changes as well as some bug fixes:
- Shovel damage has been nerfed, meaning you won’t be taken out with just two hits from a shovel anymore.
- They’ve also addressed issues where players could be instantly killed under certain conditions and made it easier to climb walls, especially in tricky areas like Broken Arrow.
- In custom lobbies, changing maps without altering the number of teams will now keep the current team display, offering a smoother experience.
- For custom game modes, the quick join feature has been enhanced to better check the current lobby’s player count, reducing instances of being placed in a full room. This means you’ll have a more enjoyable matchmaking experience.
- Moving on to bug fixes, they’ve resolved an issue where more than eight players could appear in the game after AI took a spot during a quick match.
- They also fixed problems with player names being wrongly displayed when streamer mode was turned on during quick matches.
And let’s not forget the Halloween event. By simply logging in during the event, you’ll receive the Ghost Nemo outfit.
Completing four weekly challenges during the event will score you four additional Ghost-themed outfits.
The item shop is introducing two new outfits, ‘Magic Mac Joe’ and ‘Dark Magic Matcho,’ and you’ll notice that pumpkins have been added as decorations to all maps.
Plus, in Last Stand, throwing items after eliminations have been replaced with pumpkins for some extra festive fun.
Those are all the things we can expect in the new Halloween Update for Party Animals. Now we’ll have to wait for the actual update to drop!
