As disappointing as can be, there actually is no true “offline” play in Party Animals despite developers initially advertising it. However, there is still a way around this to play with your friends and add bots if you want. In this guide, I will show you exactly how through easy steps!
How To Play “Offline” Local Co-Op (With Bots OR No Bots)
In order to play “offline” through local Co-Op, with or without bots, make sure to follow these steps. Also, I’d like to thank GSX on Steam for providing these easy-to-follow instructions and image!
- In the Starting Menu, Choose CUSTOM GAME.
- Choose CREATE from the top right of the menu.
- Select your preferred game mode and maps.
- You will now be at the Player Slot Selection screen. Depending on your preferences, adjust the settings and options as suggested below:
- If you wish to keep out random players, toggle the lock at the top of the screen. The number doesn’t matter unless you want specific online friends to join.
- Use the Right Trigger on any controller to add a local Co-op player. Note that keyboard co-op isn’t an option for obvious reasons.
- Click on empty slots to add AI players and click on the AI again to adjust their difficulty settings.
And that’s how you set up a party in Party Animals. Have fun playing with your friends and bots! If you have questions, concerns or suggestions for future content, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
