The maps are still relatively new, so many players are still figuring out the best strategies. In particular, they want to start gaining XP fast so they can level up for new gear.
In this guide, we will show you a strategy where you can get easy skill and Weapon XP as quickly as possible. This method is very fast so you can keep grinding it and farming massive amounts of XP in as little time as possible. Here’s how you can do it.
Easy Skill & Weapon XP Grind Farm
This farming method can be completed very quickly as it relies on speed and quick thinking. You will also need to be stealthy during this run for maximum XP.
Also, having a full crew can make this run even quicker. However, you can do it Solo as well by following these steps:
- Run the Dirty Ice heist on Normal Difficulty. Buy Speed Perks like Infiltrator, Quick Fingers, Bagger, Escapist and Swift alongside other skills that can help during the heist.
- Run the Standard Lining for Speed and bring the Weapons you want to farm XP for.
- Spawn into the map and run to the alley on the right side of the building.
- Climb up the Van and cut through the window. Shoot the camera and grab the hostage, throwing her into the office next to the Vault.
- Get the Code location from the PC in the office and access the VIP Room Key from the Phone.
- Unlock the VIP area and shoot the camera inside. Look for the rest of the code locations inside the room.
- Run to the Basement and unlock the door using the keypad. Shoot cameras and guards inside.
- Unlock the door at the end and turn off the power. Also, grab the Red Keycard on the table.
- Run up to the office and throw the hostage on the button next to the PC. Hurry to the vault door and Use the Red Keycard to access it.
- Obtain the Rare Stone and bag the jewelry from the glass cases VIP Room. Take the bags to the Van outside and finish the heist.
This guide continues with a detailed walkthrough below!
Detailed Walkthrough
The first thing you want to do is to make preparations to set up this grind. Ideally, you want to have a full crew so that you can delegate tasks and finish this heist as quickly as possible.
This grind also requires stealth and having a crew can ensure you have some form of backup to prevent stealth from failing.
However, this run can also be done Solo although it will be just a little time consuming and a lot harder.
We will examine the way you can do this Solo, so you understand each aspect of this grind. You can then delegate tasks to your friends accordingly and farm the run.
Here’s a guide on whether you should play Solo in Payday 3.
Starting off, you will need to choose the Dirty Ice heist on Normal Difficulty. After that, get as many of the Speed Skills as possible.
This includes equipping Infiltrator, Quick Fingers, Bagger, Escapist and Swift. All of these skills will ensure that you can go through the heist quickly and efficiently.
If you have more Skill points, spread them across the rest of the Skills as much as possible or choose the ones that you feel will help you a lot during the heist.
Additionally, run the Standard Lining for Speed and bring whatever Weapons that you want to grind XP for.
Finally, bring an ECM Jammer as this can help you in a pinch if something goes wrong or if one of your friends slips up and makes a mistake.
It will help buy you some time in these situations allowing you to finish the heist with the bonus Stealth XP.
When the heist starts, you want to run into the side alley immediately on the right side of the building while masking up.
Climb up the van on the side onto the building and jump across to the window. Use a cutter to break this window and enter inside.
Enter through the window and immediately take out the camera you see. There will also be a civilian there and you will need to tie them down before proceeding.
Look to the left and you should see a break room with a whiteboard that can contain the code.
Take the tied up civilian and put them in a safe place. The office right next to the Vault works well. Lockpick the door to this office as you will need access to the PC inside alongside the hostage later in the run.
Access the PC as this will have the code that you need for the Basement Door keypad. It will point you to one of three locations that will have the code.
One of these locations may be the Whiteboard that you saw previously in the break room. Additionally, you will find a Phone that is nearby in the same office.
Search this Phone as this will give you access to the VIP area. Head to the VIP area nearby and access it using your phone.
Take out the camera there immediately and you will now need to look for the remaining code locations if the PC pointed to them.
These two locations are a book that can be found on a desk in the VIP area and an Employee of the Month frame that is hanging on a pillar in front of the store.
You can just open the door in the VIP area, glance at the pillar and close it before anyone gets alerted.
Now that you have the code, make your way to the Basement Door with the keypad. Sometimes, there may be a guard that will patrol into you.
So, just shoot him down with your silenced pistol. Answer the pager to ensure that stealth is not broken.
Enter the code into the keypad and you should have access to the basement. Move forward into the Workshop and take out any additional cameras and guards you see.
Don’t forget to answer their pager as well. With the Workshop cleared, make your way to the door on the left end of the room.
Unlock the door with your lockpick and you will see that there is a table and a Panel that controls the power.
Pull down the lever to take out the power and take the Red Keycard that is on the table. Make your way up back to the office where you had the hostage tied up.
To open the Vault, you basically need to press the Button in the Office and swipe the Red Keycard next to the Vault Door simultaneously.
This may seem impossible in a Solo Run, but there is a trick you can utilize. Grab the hostage you had tied up and throw her into the button, and she will end up pressing it.
Hurry to the Vault door and swipe the Red Keycard. This will open the Vault door and you can now use your lockpick to open the case that has the Rare Stone inside.
Make sure you return to the hostage and tie her up before proceeding so she doesn’t escape or alert someone.
Now, pick up the Rare Stone and run out to the Van that is waiting for you in the Alley. Throw the Rare Stone bag inside and run back up to the VIP Room.
You can now grab the jewelry from the two glass cases by lockpicking the cases without worrying about the alarm since the power is down.
Bag the jewelry in both glass cases. Bring the bags to the Van one by one, making sure that you are not spotted.
Sometimes, during this part you may end up getting detected by a Security Guard and they will start calling for backup.
Shoot the guards and throw down an ECM jammer nearby to ensure that they can’t radio in. Move quickly and get all the bags in the Van.
Once that’s done, stand near the Van and exit the area with the loot you got. This run should take you less than 4 minutes and will provide you with a lot of Skill and Weapon XP.
Delegating tasks with a crew like opening the Vault, answering pagers and keeping hostages near the Van can easily speed this run up.
