Payday 3 is the latest installment in the Payday series that allows players to don the masks of the Payday Gang. The game features unique missions and countless ways to carry out heists using your skills and wits.

Cameras are an important feature of the game as they can detect your actions if you are not careful. Luckily, the game allows you to disable these cameras using a special skill that this guide will be based on.

How to Disable Cameras

In order to disable cameras in the game, you’ll need to unlock certain skills. If you don’t have points for that, you might want to check this guide for an easy skill & weapon EXP farm!

Hacking Skill

To start off, you will first need to go into the Skills tab, which can be found in the Loadout section. This can be accessed in the lobby.

Inside the skills tab, you will need to scroll down until you reach the Hacker section, as seen in the image below.

Hacker skill

It is likely that you will have to research it if you haven’t unlocked it before. Researching a skill requires you to play and complete a few missions.

After unlocking it, you will need to unlock the next tier of this skill, which is Secure Loop. Keep playing games until you get this skill, as well.

This skill basically allows you to use one Runtime to loop the footage on a camera. What this means is that now cameras won’t be able to detect you in restricted areas due to the loop that is obstructing their view.

To equip this skill, you will also need to equip the Hacker skill that comes before it, as the game does not allow you to equip only one of these. This might require you to switch up your skill selection slightly.

Selecting the skill

Using Secure Loop

Once selected, you can jump into a game to check how the skill works. For this, you will need to locate a camera and make sure that you are out of its field of view before you attempt to hack it. As you can see in the image below, there should be a Secure Loop option.

Using Secure Loop

Simply activate this option using the required button that it is mapped to. There is no sound indicator, so make sure that you activate it once and not too many times.

You can use the Secure Loop on one camera at a time, so make sure to use it carefully.

We hope that this guide to disabling cameras in Payday 3 was helpful to you. Let us know in the comments below if you have any questions or suggestions for future content.
