Payday 3 features some brilliant heists that players can take part in to get loot in really creative ways. These heists challenge even the most seasoned of Payday fans and require a lot of quick thinking on the move. One of these unique heists is the No Rest for the Wicked Mission.
In this mission, there is a point where you will need to get the vault code to get the optional loot in the Executive’s Deposit Box. This optional objective provides some great rewards and will need to be done, especially for completionists. In this guide, we will show you how you can get the vault code.
How to Get the Vault Code in No Rest for the Wicked
Obtaining the Vault code will require some trickery and math skills, even some guessing if you are impatient.
You will also need to be patient, especially if you are doing a stealth run. However, with the steps below you should be able to put in the code every single time:
- Progress through the No Rest for the Wicked heist until you are just outside the Vault.
- Kidnap the Executive upstairs and bring him down to the Vault.
- Shove him into the panel next to the keypad. An email will be sent to the Manager’s PC.
- Locate the Manager’s PC upstairs in the Conference Room and get four possible combinations.
- Shine your UV flashlight on the keypad and match the numbers that have fingerprints on them with the four possible combinations to get the right one.
- Input the correct combination into the Vault and gain access.
Detailed Walkthrough
To get the Vault Code, you will need to have progressed about halfway through the No Rest for the Wicked Mission.
This means having opened the door that leads to the vault by disabling the security and flipping the right lever. Ideally, you should even have powered down the gate.
Check out this guide, that shows you how you can turn off the power to the gate in this heist.
When you approach the Vault, you will see that there is a keypad which requires four digits.
Additionally, shining your UV flashlight on will indicate fingerprints over 4 of the digits on the keypad. Theoretically, you can guess the code by using these prints.
However, one wrong try can result in the alarm going off if you haven’t disabled the security system.
Additionally, you will need to go through 16 potential combinations which is tedious and time consuming. Instead, you will need to kidnap the Executive.
The Executive can be found roaming near the Manager’s Room or Breakroom in the top floor of the bank. He will have a yellow outline around him that can help you identify him.
The easiest way to access this area is through a window from the outside. Use a Cutter on the window and you can slip inside.
Grab hold of the Executive as a human shield and then politely escort him downstairs towards the Vault.
If you’re doing a stealth run, you will have to do this part while navigating the cameras and guards carefully. Once you’ve reached the Vault, position him in front of the panel next to the keypad.
He will use this Eye Scanner and an email will be sent to the Manager’s PC. This PC can be found upstairs in the Conference Room on one of the tables.
The Conference Room will be around the area where you kidnapped the Executive so locating it shouldn’t be difficult.
However, before you do so, make sure that you secure the Executive by tying his hands. You can leave him next to the Vault or in a nearby room.
Head upstairs and interact with the Manager’s PC. Press the Login button and now you will see four possible combinations on the screen.
You can certainly guess which one of the codes is the actual one. However, you can pinpoint the exact code by looking at the fingerprints on the Vault panel.
Head downstairs and look at them. Match the numbers on the keypad with the four possible combinations. Do you see the trick?
For example, in our case the codes are: 7683, 6884, 1033, 7767. Additionally, the fingerprints on the keypad are on the digits 6 and 7 only. Only the last combination is the one that uses the digits 6 and 7 which means that the code is 7767.
Remember that for each heist the code is shuffled and will be completely different. However, using this technique of eliminating numbers you will be able to get the right one every time.
We know it is too much math for a robbery, but we never said it was going to be easy!
Open the Vault door, and now you can gain access to the Executive’s Deposit Box for some amazing loot. Now, you may progress with the rest of the heist as well.
That’s how you can get the Vault Code in No Rest for the Wicked. Be mindful that the code will always change and sometimes the position of the Manager’s PC and Executive may be a little different upstairs as well. However, follow the steps in this guide and you should get the code every time!
