The long-awaited Payday 3 is finally available for pre-purchase and playtesting! At long last, you can go around and rob a bank again while shooting up the place indiscriminately for fun with your mates. However, there is a little bit of a problem right now for our larceny enjoyers concerning the Steam page. Because why wouldn’t there be one?
Right now, the Request Access button isn’t showing up for a few unfortunate souls who wish to try out the game themselves. Check out this guide if you’re experiencing the issue yourself. Be quick though, the playtest won’t be here forever!
How to Get & Fix No Access | Get a Steam Key Guide
Before you continue, check out the Steam store page for Payday3 first. Scroll through the price list and check if you can Request Access right off the bat. If you already have, then that button should be saying Play Now instead.
If this is not the case, then copy the page URL and paste it to any browser of your choice. Log in to your steam account using your browser next. It goes without saying that you should be doing this on a computer that you trust. With that out of the way, simply scroll down again and Request Access.
If the Request Access button is still not showing itself then it’s time to make use of Inspect Element. Do not be afraid, simply right click anywhere and choose Inspect at the very bottom.
Ignore the spaghetti you’ll see and go to the tab that says Console. Inside of here, go ahead and type “RequestPlaytestAccess().” Do not include the period at the end by the way. Hit enter once you’re done typing that out and a notification should pop up on the Steam page.
Once you’ve requested access, you can go and head back to Steam and restart it to apply the changes. Start the download like how you normally would and click on Play in your library.
And that’s how you fix the No Access issue for Payday 3’s playtest. Now you can join in on the fun with your friends as you drill your way into a vault!
