Pet Catchers recently just released an update that introduced the next area of the game, which is the Hyperwave Arcade. This gaming-themed region also introduces a brand new currency, which are tokens, and they have various uses in this area. In this guide, we’ll be giving you a few tips on how to maximize your gains and get as many tokens as fast as possible!
How to Get Arcade Tokens Super Fast
First of all, once you unlock the new zone for a whopping 1 billion coins, you’re going to want to catch pets in the arcade. Unlike all the others so far, the pets that originate from the Hyperwave Arcade have a token multiplier.
This multiplier makes them especially useful in this region as it increases how much tokens you earn from any of the activities that give it.
By now, you probably have a lot of Elite Mystery Eggs saved up, so the best way to get a decent multiplier is by hatching until you get a full team of at least epic rarity pets.
In this case, it’s the one called Memory Error. Level them up and they should all have a decent enough multiplier. This is the best you can do without having any of the legendaries, which are pretty hard to get!
If you don’t have the resources to level them up quickly, just do what I did. Stand AFK in front of a mob spawn and just watch their levels shoot up over time with little effort on your part.
In my case, I just stood over at the crabs in the Sunset Shores region. The Memory Error pets can have a maximum of around 131.25x token multiplier, so grinding them up is a good option early on!
Other Multipliers to Keep in Mind
In addition to having pets with token multipliers, there is also a new charm that increases this even more. It’s simply called the “Token” charm, and it further increases a pet’s token multiplier.
Because of this, you’re eventually going to want a team of legendaries or higher, or just any token multiplier pets with charm slots. This will help maximize your gains and get you all the tokens you need.
There is also a new Token Elixir that has the same effect. Each of these potions only last for 5 minutes, but the duration stacks if you use a lot of them. This also stacks with other existing multipliers.
Getting the Tokens Themselves
Now that you have your token farming team ready, you now have to choose what method of grinding you wish to participate in.
There are basically a handful of different ways to get tokens in the new area, and we’ll go through each of them in greater detail below so you can decide for yourself.
Method #1. Catching Pets
The first way you can get tokens is by simply catching pets inside the Hyperwave Arcade. If you’re going with this method, make sure to unlock the AFK mode at the Dusty Dunes region if you haven’t already.
Even the Basic AFK mode will help you a lot here. Basically, just set it to work only on the Hyperwave Arcade. Next, just pick “Any” under the rarity filter (don’t forget to set auto-delete for unwanted lower tier pets).
Also, make sure to unlock the teleport beacon at the Hyperwave Arcade so that the game lets you choose it as an option! It only costs a few million coins to do so, which shouldn’t be an issue at this point.
Finally, don’t forget to equip your token multiplier team. Basically, each pet caught will give you a decent number of tokens, which will add up over time if you just leave it completely AFK!
Method #2. Playing Minigames
Another way to get some tokens in the Hyperwave Arcade is by playing the minigames via the arcade machines in the main lobby. Again, don’t forget to equip your token team before you start doing this!
Ideally, you will want to be playing the Robot Claw minigame, which is the new one added in this region. It’s basically a claw machine where you have to drop the claw at the right time to grab a prize.
You have a limited time to get as many good drops as you can. With a decent multiplier on you, one can easily get millions of tokens in no time with each attempt.
However, it should be noted that this will cost you one golden ticket per attempt. These can be acquired through various means in the game, including fishing and killing bosses. The ticket shrine at Dusty Dunes gives some every now and then too.
Luckily for grinders out there, there are new ticket storage upgrades right outside the entrance to the Hyperwave Arcade. These cost a lot of gems, but they’ll be worth it if you plan on spamming minigames.
Method #3. Fishing in the Arcade
Inside the Hyperwave Arcade, just beside the entrance to the Royal Hall, you’ll notice a small pool of water under a waterfall. This is actually a fishing spot that you can take advantage of as well.
For this one, you don’t really need to have your token multiplier team equipped, as it won’t affect your odds here. Instead, get your fishing luck team up if you have one to increase your chances of better catches.
Basically, each of the fish that you get here except for the highest rarity one will supposedly give you tokens when you sell them.
This is a great method if you plan on AFKing for a long period of time, and if you have an auto clicker, you can keep this up overnight without getting booted for inactivity.
As an added bonus, you can also gain all sorts of other useful items while you are fishing. So, consider choosing this method if you want a chance to get various forms of loot as well.
Method #4. The Cube Drop Machine
Once you have gotten around three million tokens, you can unlock the Hyper Lounge zone within the Hyperwave Arcade. This will open up two more token farming methods, including the Cube Drop game.
With your token multiplier team equipped, you can play this game of chance to potentially get a decent amount of currency, which you can also leave to play automatically.
The downside is that this arcade machine will cost you ten legendary cubes for each attempt. Because of this, only consider doing this method if you have a massive surplus of legendary cubes on hand.
With that said, you can easily get a few million tokens this way if you have a decent multiplier and an insanely large number of legendary cubes to burn. You can also get various other useful rare items!
Method #5. Fighting the Region’s Boss
Finally, one of the best but also costly ways of getting tokens in the new region is by beating the Hyper Core boss. This can be found in the Hyper Lounge, just slightly ahead of the Cube Drop machine.
For this one, you should be using your best damage team instead of your token multiplier group. If you can make a team that can do both, then you should definitely choose that instead.
Basically, you want to fight the boss at only level 1 to make the kill quick and easy. It will only have a little over one million HP this way, so you won’t have to constantly run through the obstacle course in the arena for a long period of time.
Beating it at this level will get you around a million tokens if you have a decent enough multiplier, as well as various other useful stuff like golden tickets andmore.
The main disadvantage of this method is that the boss has a long respawn timer and can only be farmed if you have respawn tomes, which are definitely not easy to get.
Despite this, if you have the means to come back whenever it respawns, feel free to take it down every now and then for some free tokens and other rewards. It’s still a nice side activity to break the monotony of your AFK grinding.
To sum things up
All in all, the absolute best and most reliable methods seem to be either AFK fishing or catching pets. These can be completely done AFK without using up valuable resources or waiting for cooldowns to end.
The pet catching method in particular can be incredibly helpful if you have a lot of legendary cubes to spare. This is because rare pets will occasionally spawn in the Hyperwave Arcade, and if you can catch one, you’ll have an even better token multiplier!
As I’m writing this, I just caught myself a Legendary Seal Duo, which is the first and easiest of its rarity you can get in the zone. It has a much better multiplier than the Memory Error pet, with its unleveled version almost being on par with a maxed out Epic!
