Pet Simulator 99, as the name implies, is a Roblox game all about collecting as many pets as you possibly can. There are so many extremely rare pets that will potentially take you forever to get in the game. Luckily, there is a trading mechanic wherein you can exchange pets with other players.
With that in mind, in this article, we’ll be giving you some tips when it comes to selling or trading your pets.
Selling & Pricing Pets Complete Guide
First up, in order to actually access the Trading Plaza, you will first need to achieve your first Rebirth. This can be done by reaching Area #25.
Doing so will reset your coins and unlocked areas, but most of your progress will be saved. After your initial rebirth, you will get the Castle Key, which you will need in a bit.
With the Castle Key on hand, you simply have to progress just a bit to unlock Area #3 once more and enter the now-open castle.
Inside the castle, you will find the gate to the Trading Plaza, which will give you the option of either entering a Normal or Pro version of the instance.
The latter requires you to have at least 5 Huge pets and 1 Titanic. There is not much a difference between the two, however the Pro area will likely have much wealthier and more knowledgeable players in it.
Booths Inside the Trading Plaza
Upon entering the plaza, if you’re here to sell pets, go and find an empty booth. Press E to claim it and start creating listings for whichever pets you with to sell.
By default, you can have a maximum of 4 listings, which you can expand by purchasing slot vouchers either from other players or by using Robux at the store.
You can also customize the appearance of your booth, and you can buy new frames in the trading plaza or by getting certain achievements.
Auctions
One thing you definitely won’t miss when you enter the trading plaza is the giant Auction board, where players can bid on whatever items are currently listed for a limited amount of time.
It is unclear exactly what type of items are permitted, though there are only certain items and pets that you can put up for auction.
Also, it should be noted that you must rebirth twice before you can put up your own options. In order to do this you must first have access to Area #50.
Trading Terminal
Off to the side, you can find the Trading Terminal, where you can search for specific items, pets (both normal and shiny), eggs, booths, and more.
By clicking on your desired item or pet, you will be given an option to teleport to the server where somebody is selling it at their booth or via the auction board (if any).
How Should You Be Pricing Pets
First, you have to keep in mind that there are many different kinds of traders in the game. Some will value damage, while others only care about a pet’s appearance.
In many cases, especially if you set up shop in the normal trading plaza servers, you might encounter a new player who will be willing to pay way too much for a type of pet that they desperately want or need.
With that said, there are other things to consider when it comes to trading. Specifically, you’ll have to learn the concept of supply & demand.
Although the game will give you an item or pet’s value in diamonds when you hover over it, you will also see how many currently exist in the world.
With this information, you can determine whether there is an abundance of a certain pet out there or if you are holding on to something extremely rare. This is a no-brainer when it comes to limited event items too.
Generally, you do not want to follow this value all the time. For example, if you have a pet that only has maybe a hundred other copies that exist, you are likely going to be able to sell it for upwards to 4-5x of the indicated value.
This is because that is an incredibly rare pet, and there is a high chance that a significant number of those that exist are stuck in inactive accounts.
One way to figure out what people are pricing a current item is to simply search for it at the trading terminal. After that, you can usually slightly overprice something by a certain amount and somebody will eventually buy it.
If nobody bites, you can gradually lower the price until somebody does. Also, make sure that there are no other booths selling the same thing for cheaper.
If you really want to be thorough, there are also various price guides that are occasionally updated on the internet, and you can even ask around or lurk in the official Discord server.
And that’s pretty much all you need to know when it comes to pricing your pets and other items in Pet Simulator 99. Basically, it’s always better to study the market rather than blindly following the indicated value in order to avoid getting scammed!
