Pikmin 4 is the latest entry to the Pikmin franchise, which is a cute game that’s very versatile in its gameplay. Each mission is different from one another, which helps the player to become immersed in the game as they experience different mechanics and such. In the 5th Story: The White Key, you are tasked with collecting 9 treasures in under 7 minutes. But the map is so wide! How can you do that? Well, in this guide, I will show you how you can complete 5th Story: The White Key without breaking a sweat.

5th Story: The White Key Guide

When the level starts, jump to your left and head to the first enemy you see, an Armored Cannon Larva. It’s important to defeat any enemy you see, as they will become bothersome as you try to get the treasures back to your ship.

Keep going until you see a mushroom patch with sticky mold on the ground. Throw a some White Pikmins at the mushroom and let them do their work.

Go around the area until you reach the pink ball in the ground. Throw all of your Winged Pikmins at the ball and continue forward.

The two Miniature Snootwhackers can be taken out by a tackle from Oatchi. Simply tackle the two enemies and you can then take the Pikmins with you.

Afterwards, throw some Rock Pikmins at the pile of sticks at the ground and continue forward.

Remember to use the bouncing mushrooms to get around the area easily. It will help you save time rather than just going around the path. However, do be careful as you can fall out of the map as well.

Once you take the bouncy mushroom, you will need to get off Oatchi and go through the bars and throw some Winged Pikmins at the ball that’s hanging up by a web.

Afterwards, continue forward and you should find another ball. This time, throw Rock Pikmins at it so they can bring it back.

Continue forward until you find the blue ball. When you get there, you will find two Moldy Dwaf Bulborbs there. Throw your Pikmins at the enemies to defeat them and collect the Pikmins that they were fighting.

Afterwards, throw Pikmins at the ball so they can bring it back to the ship for collection.

Go back to Oatchi and the bars will be lowered, allowing you to continue forward. Use the bouncy mushroom to the side to go back to the ship and collect the Pikmin.

Once you have collected the Winged Pikmins, throw White Pikmins to the ball that’s hanging to the side. They will bring it back to the ship for you.

For the Winged Pikmins, there will be a yellow ball behind the ship. Throw the Winged Pikmins at the ball so they can bring it back to the ship.

Wait until they bring the balls to the ship and then collect the Pikmins again. Then, jump to the platform the yellow ball was and aim for the green ball that’s behind the yellow ball. Throw Winged Pikmins at the green ball and leave them to fly it to the ship.

Jump to the arena where the Mammoth Snootwhacker is and go behind it. There, you will find some Rock Pikmins. Pluck them out of the ground.

To defeat the Mammoth Snootwhacker, you will need to charge it with Oatchi until it falls to its side, exposing the underside. When the underside is exposed, throw your Pikmins at the belly and let them attack until it gets back up. Repeat this until the enemy is defeated. However, you don’t need to defeat it, as it is completely optional. It’s just recommended to do so.

Afterwards, jump on the bouncy mushrooms to get to the area where there are Pikmins to pluck out of the ground.

Jump back to the arena and continue forward until you reach the mushrooms and sticky molds. Throw your Pikmins at them to remove it.

Next to the yellow ball, there are Winged Pikmins. Pluck them out and throw them at the yellow ball so they can bring it back to the ship.

Now all treasures should be back to the ship. Go back to the ship and collect all Pikmins.

Go back to the arena and head to the wall that is blocking your way. Once the last treasure reaches the ship, the counter will reach zero and the wall will go down.

Afterwards, use the Winged Pikmin to collect the White Onion. Let them fly it back to the ship and wait for it there. Afterwards, the level will be completed.
