6th Story: Gimmick Gambit
The 6th Story of the Trial of The Sage Leaf requires you to open 5 gates and reach the Sage Leaf. To do this, you should complete a couple of easy puzzles. Though, you should be fast as you will only have 4 minutes to unlock all of them.
Here are all the steps to complete the chapter:
- Bring along Oatchi.
- Enter the Dungeon for the 6th Story: Gimmick Gambit.
- Unlock 5 gates.
- Reach the Sage Leaf!
Detailed Walkthrough
Starting off, you will find the button to open the first gate on a higher platform to your right. To press the button, throw your Pikmin on the bouncy mushroom in front of you.
They will jump onto the platform on the left and push the rope for you to climb up.
Climb up and send a Pikmin on the bouncy mushroom once more, it will go to the other side and push the white button for you. Then, the white gate will be unlocked.
Now that you opened the gate, enter the new area. Set your base there. You should collect the three golf balls to open the next gate.
You will find the first one behind the bars next to your base, the second one hanging from above, and the third one on the platform next to the bars. Use Oatchi to push the wall and make the ball fall down for the third one.
Now that the gate is open, pass to the other side by using the bouncy mushrooms. As soon as you land there, a Fiery Dweevil will fall down. It follows you, so you can use it to get rid of the crystal wall (third gate) on the right.
As always, don’t forget to pluck the Red Pikmin there as well. You should not skip that step whenever you see Pikmin that you can collect as they will help you a lot later on.
Now, the fourth gate might look a little bit more difficult to unlock, but it is actually pretty easy. You should control the walkway in front of you by using the blue and red buttons on your right. Just make sure that your Pikmin reaches the end and they will take care of the rest and push the fourth and fifth buttons.
Pass through the fifth gate by jumping on a bouncy mushroom. You will reach the Sage Leaf and complete the 6th Story: Gimmick Gambit in Pikmin 4!
