Fans of the Pikmin franchise are asking if Bulbmin and Puffmin are coming back to Pikmin 4. The are two of the most unique and interesting creatures in the Pikmin series. Read on to know if it is possible to get Bulbmin and Puffmin in Pikmin 4.

Is It Possible To Get Bulbmin & Puffmin?

Unfortunately, Bulbmin & Puffmin aren’t possible to get on the series’ newest installment. I understand why you’d want them to show up, but it has been confirmed that they won’t make an appearance for this game’s version. However, just in case you miss them too much, there’s a similar Pikmin for the both of them.

Now, let’s talk about the two mentioned Pikmins first. Bulbmins are a type of Pikmin in Pikmin 2 that are parasitic to Bulborbs. They are immune to all four hazards in the game and are one of the only ways to gain Pikmin in a cave. This makes them a valuable asset to the player.

Mushroom Pikmin, also known as Puffmin, are Pikmins that have been infected by the spores of a Puffstool. They are hostile to the player and will attack them on sight. Mushroom Pikmin have a different appearance than regular Pikmin, with dark purple skin and a mushroom cap on their head.

Glowmin in Pikmin 4

Introducing, the Glowmin! Most of us speculate that both Bulbmin and Puffmin are not obtainable because they have been replaced by Glow Pikmin. The Glowmin have many of the same properties and abilities as Bulbmin and Puffmin, so there was no need to have all three types of Pikmin in the game.

However, it is always possible that Bulbmin and Puffmin can make a return in future DLCs for Pikmin 4 so don’t get you hopes too low just yet. That sums it up, if you have questions or concerns, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
