Paradox Pokemon is a new type of Pokemon and is split into two categories; Ancient Pokemon and Future Pokemon. The former is exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet, while the latter is exclusive to Pokemon Violet.

Additionally, the Pokemons that you use to traverse Paldea, Miraidon, and Koraidon are also Paradox Pokemons. Roaring Moon is an Ancient Pokemon, so you can only catch it in Pokemon Scarlet.

Catching Roaring Moon

Once the ending credits of the game finish, you can catch all of the exclusive Paradox Pokemons in Area Zero.

If you want to catch a Roaring Moon, fast-travel to Zero Gate north of The Great Crater of Paldea.

Get inside and choose Research Station No. 3. Get out of the door and stay on the left wall until you reach the second tree. On the left, you’ll find a cave. Get inside to find a Roaring Moon.

Roaring Moon is an Ancient Salamence. Like any Paradox Pokemons, it has no gender, so it cannot be bred.

You must take a lot of trips to Area Zero if you want to form an army of this Dragon/Dark type Pokemon.
