The new Pokemon games has been out for a while now and with it came a lot of interesting free PR. I’m talking about the many compilation videos from payers who experienced all sorts of weird and funny bugs and glitches while playing the game. A lot more are complaining about the performance of the game but despite all of that the game has broken records in Nintendo. A lot of people still bought the game and that’s because its till has the classic formula of a new Region, new Pokemon and new characters to discover. In this guide we’ll show you how to evolve your Scyther into a Scizor.
How To Evolve Scyther Into Scizor In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Now some of you might think “Wait a minute, don’t you just level up the Pokemon and it’ll evolve?” You’re right, for the most part. Most Pokemon do evolve just by leveling up, but there are some that can only evolve after doing certain things. Some Pokemon can only be evolved by using specific items, while others need certain actions from the player to make them evolve. This is how you evolve your Scyther.
To evolve Scyther you actually have to receive a Scyther carrying a Metal Coat through trading. You can do this in multiple of ways, one of which is just ask a friend to get your Scyther, make him give the Scyther a Metal Coat and trade it back to you!
You can also just ask a friend to give you a Scyther with a metal coat if you don’t have it already or if you don’t particular care for your own Scyther.
Another way is through trading using a certain Link Code. You see there are some players out there that like helping other players. For Pokemon that are well known to evolve through trading, they use the Pokedex number of the Pokemon as a Link code for other people. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s case it’s 02600260, because you need to have 4 characters we add a ‘0’ to the ‘260’ which is the Scyther Pokedex number. Just remember to send them a Scyther with a Metal Coat as well! Also remember that you can check if the Scyther they’re sending has a Metal Coat by checking the summary.
