Getting a new kit or set of skills in a game can be fun and exciting since it’s trying out something new. Sometimes, the game lets you try them out for free, but most games let you work for it through quests or purchases. If it’s the latter, then you should know what you’re getting first!

In Project Smash, there are a lot of different sets of skills that you can choose from. Every single one gives you cool moves so it’s great to know what they are before you try to get them. You don’t want to waste time on a skill set that’s not to your liking!

In this guide, we’ll show you the new Wraith and what the different skills are. We’ll also go through some great combos to help you out if you play with this one. Now, let’s see what Wraith is all about!

Complete Wraith Guide & Combos

With the Wraith you have two weapons, the Katana and the Sword and you can switch between them using certain moves. This character can have a lot of different combos and powerful moves, so let’s go through the latter first!

SIDE NOTE: There are a lot of other characters to try out. Check out our Golem Complete Guide & Showcase for more!

Katana Moves

By default, you start with the Katana, but some attacks let you switch to the sword. This can be great for extending combos and such, but remember that both weapons share the same cooldowns.

Void Slash

The first move is Void Slash and you attack with the Katana in a circular motion dealing damage to enemies around you. This move can guard break and is a bit faster if you use it after 3 M1 attacks. It’s also a great combo extender since it switches to the sword.

Project Smash Void Slash
It’s much faster after 3 basic attacks!

When you jump and use Void Slash, you instead do the attack downwards in an aerial variant.

Project Smash Void Slash Aerial
Slam them down with your sword!

Rapid Slash

The next move is Rapid Slash and with this one, you do multiple slashes as you move forward. There is a slight delay before the attack flings the enemy towards where you moved.

Project Smash Rapid Slash
Remember to aim this attack properly since you can launch people off the map!

Blade Barrage

For this next move, Blade Barrage is a stationary attack where you do a lot of swords slashes in front of you. There is a small window at the very end of the move where you can do another move which is great for extending combos.

Project Smash Blade Barrage
A great way to start a combo or extend it!

Judgment Cut

The last move for the Katana is Judgement Cut, this is where you pull an enemy in a vortex of slashes. You can time this and use it 4 times in a row. The enemy is completely stun-locked when you do this. When you hit with this move, you’ll get Judgement stacks.

Project Smash Judgement Cut
This is your ‘easy hits’ move.

Sword Moves

There is another weapon for this character and it’s the shimmering sword. The moves still share a cooldown but you can use this to spice up your combos!

Blade Volley

This is a very basic attack, Blade Volley just shoots a couple of blades at an enemy. Not much use in terms of combos.

Project Smash Blade Volley
It’s kind of underwhelming!

Round Trip

For the next move, when you activate Round Trip, you throw your sword, and it spins around a target damaging them. This move can guard break as well as combo extend.

Project Smash Round Trip
Now that’s a better skill!

Max Overdrive

The last move for the list is Max Overdrive and the attack depends on if you have maximum Judgment Stacks or not. If you don’t have all 3 Judgement Stacks, then you just shoot out a sword slash that deals damage.

Project Smash Max Overdrive
Doing it without Judgment Stacks can also be good!

When you have 3 Judgement Stacks, you instead windup the attack and then in an instant, do multiple cuts in front of you. The screen will go gray as you put your sword back on its sheathe and when it’s done, you deal a ton of damage!

Project Smash Max Overdrive Judgement Stacks
I am the storm that’s approaching!

Combos

The great thing about the Wraith character is that you can have a lot of long combos. That’s because a lot of the moves are great combo extenders so here are a couple to learn!

  • 3x M1 + Void Slash + 3x M1 + Down Slam + 3x M1 + Rapid Slash + 4x Judgement Cut + 3x M1 + Blade Barrage + Void Slash + 3x M1 + Down Slam – A fairly short combo considering the next one. You can see the great combo potential with this character!
  • 3x M1 + Down Slam + 2x M1 + Rapid Slash + 3x M1 + Max Overdrive + Blade Barrage + 4x Judgement Cut + 3x M1 + Void Slash + 3x M1 + Round Trip + 3x M1 + 4x Judgement Cut + 3x M1 + Void Slash + 3x M1 + Rapid Slash – This is a much longer combo, make sure to reposition to the enemy when you Blade Barrage after Max Overdrive!
  • 4x Judgement Cut + Void Slash + Rapid Slash + 3x M1 + Blade Barrage + Max Overdrive – This is a great one since you can easily get 3 Judgement Stacks for the finisher quickly!

Those are all of the moves and combos for Wraith in Project Smash. Now, go out there and try it out yourself! Want to try out a different skill set? Check out our Kraken Combo Complete Guide & Showcase for more details!
