Playing with other players in R.E.P.O. is definitely fun. However, its 6-player lobby limit can feel limiting at times. Sometimes, having more people in your squad feels just way better and more fun! Fortunately, there’s a way to achieve that, and I’m here to guide you through the process.
How to Install More Players and Create Bigger Lobbies
The method in question involves installing a mod called MorePlayers. Unfortunately, there’s no official means of increasing the size of lobbies in the game. Fortunately, installing a mod such as this one is quick and easy.
Simply follow the steps below.
Download and Install “BepInEx” & “MorePlayers”
The very first thing you have to do is install BepInEx. You can find it in Thunderstore via this link: BepInEx Installation.
After a successful download, you can proceed to install it either manually or through the use of the Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman. You can find these instructions in the mod page above.
Once you’re done, search for MorePlayers in the Thunderstore and download it. Open the ZIP file and look for the MorePlayers.dll file inside the plugins folder. Copy and paste it into the plugins folder in your BepInEx directory.
After that, simply start the game and wait for the batch window to complete processing.
Increasing the Size of the Lobby
By default, the MorePlayers mod sets the number of max players to 10. Luckily, this can be easily changed with a few tweaks.
To do so, head to your BepInEx folder inside your game’s directory. Head to the config folder and then look for the zelofi.MorePlayers.cfg file. Right click and open it using your preferred text editor (i.e., Notepad or Notepad++).
Search for the MaxPlayers line and change the value to your desired number. Save the file and launch the game right after. Of course, make sure you host the game for the changes to take effect.
