Ready or Not has just recently left Early Access and is now a full fledged game with the release of update 1.0. A lot of people are excited to play this updated version of the game that has added a lot of stuff that will no doubt be fun for fans of the game.
Unfortunately, one of those things is performance issues. Many players are reporting that the game, for some reason, is running even worse than it did in Early Access.
In this guide, I will show you how you can fix the performance issues that are happening in the game so you can go back and play with your friends.
How To Fix Update 1.0 FPS & Stutter Problem
Right now, there seems to be some optimization issues that is happening with the game. Many have stated that switching to DirectX 12 instead of DirectX 11 will improve the performance of the game.
A lot of people have done as suggested and are seeing an increase in FPS and performance in the game, but there is a downside.
If you are looking at “new” things that you have never seen before in the game, the game will start stuttering and slow down once again.
This is due to the fact that the game is compiling the shaders of the new objects that you are just now seeing in the game. This is something that should be done when starting the game, not while playing it.
Another set of graphical options you might need to turn down to get better performance is FOV and Motion Blur.
It is unknown as to why lowering FOV and turning off Motion Blur improves performance, but a lot of players in the community are reporting better framerates and less stuttering with the two options tweaked in the settings.
All in all, it seems like this game just needs to be optimized some more in order to run better. Seeing as this is the official release of update 1.0, I’m sure we will see more updates that will solve the performance issues that will hopefully optimize the game for both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 users.
That’s all you need to know on how to fix the FPS drops and stutter problems in Ready or Not’s 1.0 update. Did this guide help you understand what you need to do in order to get your performance up? Let us know in the comments below.
