REx: Reincarnated has had many updates that change the game’s mechanics and meta, leading to a new of a new beginner’s guide. And that’s exactly what this aim to do: to provide comprehensive explanations to people who are completely new to the Roblox game.

With the World 2 added, there’s a lot to learn. We’re going to show the tutorial to become an expert miner in the game and how progress into mining rarer ores in the game. Credits go to on YouTube.

Complete Beginner’s Guide

We will start with keybinds and buttons in the game.

  • Press T brings up the Quick Travel page
  • Press P brings up the Pickaxes page
  • Press G brings up the Gears page
  • Press H brings up the Servers page
  • Press U brings up the Settings page

Start by heading to World 1 and dig. Make sure to use the Private Server because you don’t want to fight over ores with other players. The achievements will still be announced across servers, so don’t worry.

Now at any point of your digging experience, watch out for when special message occurs. This means that a special ore has appeared on the level that you dig. We’ll get back into this much later in the guide.

Digging is easy and fast in this game, so no need to get stuck in one layer for too long. While you can technically dig straight all the way down, remember not to dig straight down after teleporting.

Because when you come back, you’ll end up falling all the way down with no way up. Or you’ll have to start digging stairs back up.

You’ll find two Chrysoberyl soon enough, even though they’re rare. Once you have enough money, teleport to the Obsidian Layer and get as much Ruby, Coal, and Silver here instead. You can earn money by selling ores.

You need to make the Miner’s Mallet first. This is the best, starter item you can get and lets you mine Bedrock which is beyond depth 6999m. Check out from the Blacksmith’s Shop which you can quick travel to by pressing T.

Then after you have enough Ruby for the Miner’s Mallet, go back to the surface and teleport back to the Marble layer. Digging into this cave is going to be your next goal. You’re going to need 150 Reflectistone and 150 Gold, both of which spawns the most here.

Whenever in doubt, press L to bring up the Ore index and search it up. For example, you also need pyrite, so type in Pyrite and voila.

It’ll tell you about the rarity for each type: normal, Ionized, and Spectral, the depth range, and if it comes with a special audio. It also lets you know what other recipes that use the ore.

Ores also don’t always spawn in clutters, but some do. For example, Bismuth which is needed for the Miner’s Mallet, can spawn in a clutter. As shown below when I dug into a cave at 5.300m depth.

Now that you know everything you need to do, start grinding for the ores. Take your time because if there’s anything that matters most in this game, it’s pure luck. I found the 6x rarer Elusium ore before finding Pyrite, so there’s that. Once you’ve got the Miner’s Mallet, time to get the gears.

Press T, head to the Gear Shop, and get yourself the Speed Coil. Then the Core Frag and lastly, the Jump Coil just so you can navigate around caves easier.

After the mallet, aim for the Stone Ravager next. Try to avoid anything else for now as it’s easier to get the ravager’s materials.

Mid-game

And after that, head to World 2’s Blacksmith and find the Poison Pick. It’s the next best thing once you have the Stone Ravager and considerably easier to grind compared to the Darkstone Pick from World 1.

Further down the game, you can aim for the Matterbomb and the Thundarian Coil gears. Followed by the Cyrstallized Pickaxe which directly double or triple Surreal ore drops.

Your near-endgame pickaxe will be the Trinity Claymore which has 60% luck boost. But do note that there are ores that cannot be affected by luck modifiers.

There is also the final pickaxe, 57 Leaf Clover, and endgame gears like the Polarium Tunneller, but they’re going to be taking a lot of time to mine.

World 2 last three pickaxes are the current ideal endgame equipment, but they’re going to need a ton of grinding. But we’ll leave that for a more advanced guide in the future. That concludes the current beginner’s guide for REx: Reincarnated, World 2 update!
