Roblox Arsenal is essentially just Counter-Strike, but with Roblox models. But despite the character models being Roblox shaped, it is a surprisingly fun game that you can sink hours into due to the main focus just being fun. The gunplay and movement feel the same as Counter-Strike, but there are some tweaks that you can feel in the movements. With these tweaks, you can take advantage of it and use the movements to get ahead of your enemies. In this guide, I will show you how to move your way around in Roblox Arsenal.
Complete Movement Guide
Now, bear in mind that not only does Roblox Arsenal bear a striking resemblance to Counter-Strike, but it also moves like it as well. Not 100% completely like Counter-Strike, but enough for your Half-Life or Counter-Strike muscle memory to kick in. If you were to jump onto a crate normally, you’ll find that you can’t get to the top. But what about if you crouch jump?
Crouch Jumping
Crouch jumping is an iconic method of moving around in the Half-Life franchise. It allows you to reach places that are normally not possible with normal jumping. In Roblox Arsenal, you can crouch jump onto boxes or ledges that you cannot reach with normal jump. This helps with moving around easily and getting to better vantage points. However, timing is everything. Crouch jumping too early or too late can result in failure. You need to crouch jump at the right time in order to do it successful.
Jumping Speed & Around Corners
But don’t think jumping normally isn’t all that great, because it is. Jumping can actually give you a slight increase in speed that lets you get ahead of your team or escape enemy combat. However, the downside is that the enemy can see you hopping around, making you an easy target to shoot from afar if the enemy has snipers.
Jumping can also help you ambush your enemies if you’re around a corner. Instead of running around and getting shot, make sure you get a head start and jump. After jumping, immediately use your mouse to maneuver around the corner to control where you’re going. Using the directional keys don’t help that much, which is why it’s advised to use the mouse to steer where you’re going after jumping.
Super Jump
Let’s move onto something more advanced. Super Jump is exactly what the name says: a jump that can get you high up into the air that normal jumping cannot do. Despite the nature of the jump, it’s not hard to actually do a Super Jump, but it will require you to set it up correctly.
In order to perform a Super Jump, you must align yourself to a surface like this. Afterwards, you move forward and immediately jump while moving to the opposite side of where you aligned yourself too. It requires a bit of practice but once you get it right, you will find it easy to do. It’s incredibly useful for when you’re trying to escape enemies or get to a higher ground for sniping position.
Flick Jump
Flick Jump is another type of jump that will get you high up to where you need to go easily. This one is a lot more complicated, as you will need to time everything right. If you do one step early or late, then the jump will fail. In order to do the jump, you have to face a surface and run up to it and jump. Once you have jumped, press the crouch button and then flick your mouse to the direction you want to go, then press jump again.
As stated before, this is a lot more complicated, and it will require a lot more practice compared to Super Jump. But just like with Super Jump, it can be easy to use once you have mastered it, and it is incredibly useful in a lot of situations where you need to get up to a high building.
Wall Hop
Wall Hop is actually pretty similar to Flick Jump, but on a much smaller scale. Unlike Flick Jump, Wall Hop will only hop off the wall like you’re in The Matrix. Doing the Wall Hop is like doing the Flick Jump. You run up to the wall, jump, crouch, and then flick your mouse. Except this time, you don’t need to jump at the end and flick your mouse all the way.
It’s also recommended to do this slowly too, as doing it in the same speed as Flick Jump will result in you doing an incomplete Flick Jump, which is higher than a Wall Hop.
Bounce Jump
Up next is the Bounce Jump. This one is arguably one of the easiest to do, but it unfortunately has very little spots where you can make use of it. A Bounce Jump is essentially a jump that launches you in the direction you are looking. To execute it, you need to find something that will serve as your bounce (like this railing for example), and then all you have to do is to run up to it, jump on top, and jump again to bounce in the direction you are looking at.
Again, it’s very simple to execute. The only problem is that the maps in the game aren’t built for Bounce Jumping, so you’ll often find one spot in one map, and none in another.
Corner Jump
Now this one is a little unfair, but it is incredibly fun to do. Corner Jump is when you jump into a corner of a wall and stick to it. Yes, you can stick to the corner of the wall, and you can even run on the wall. Executing it is fairly easy. Just run and jump into the corner of the wall, and depending on where you are facing, press the key that gets you closer to the wall.
If you are facing the wall forward, press W. If your back is facing the wall, press S. If your right side is facing the wall, then press D. Once you are on the corner, then you can press the W or S key to start walking along the wall.
Double Jump
Now this isn’t a known secret, but there is actually a Double Jump in the game. However, it’s barely noticeable because the height you get from it isn’t all that great. If you were to stay in place, the Double Jump is noticeable. But if you run around, fighting enemies, then you won’t even register that you Double Jumped.
Just like in every other game, performing a Double Jump just requires you to press the jump key twice.
Mesh Jump
Mesh Jumping is the ultimate jump in the game. Why? Because if you do it correctly, you will be launched high up into the air, perfect for sniping some targets. Performing it is incredibly easy to do. All you have to do is to get in between tight meshes (or walls) and crouch between them. Next, you slowly turn until you are launched into the air.
Now, bear in mind that Mesh Jumping can be difficult to master, because you will have to try different methods to Mesh Jump. Sometimes, slowly turning is not enough. You will have to try jumping, standing, pulling out your weapon, or even spin in a fast speed. Again, it depends on the meshes you are standing between.
