Roblox SCP-3008 may be a horror game, but that has certainly not stopped players. In fact, many users have been using the level creator to create some iconic builds. They do this by using the available assets, and using creativity, to make these items into some amazing structures.
One such structure that you can build pretty easily is a small restaurant. This cozy structure will make you forget that you’re actually supposed to be running away from a monster in the main game! In this guide, we’ll show you how you can build it yourself too. Let’s get into it!
How To Build A Small Restaurant
The small restaurant will consist of two separate portions: the exterior and the interior. Each of these requires different approaches when building.
Building the Exterior
Starting off, we’ll be creating the restaurant’s exterior, as you’ll first need to set up the outline. Before you start building the exterior, we recommend that you set the Snap-to-Grid Ratio to 0.25. It’ll ensure that your restaurant will look beautiful at the end.
Below is a list of assets that you’ll be using to make the exterior. They do not make a lot of sense at first glance, but don’t worry! We’ll be using these assets to give the impression of a restaurant exterior.
The first thing you want to do is set up the pallets horizontally at a slight elevation. This will be the base, or the flooring, for your restaurant. Once you’ve created the flooring, set up pallets vertically on the sides to set up the exterior walls of the restaurant.
Next, you’ll be setting up TV stands to cover up the space that was underneath the flooring. You just need to place them on the exterior, which is the angle at which people will be looking at your restaurant. In essence, the TV stands will be forming the foundation for your restaurant.
Just make sure you place them at the correct angle, as shown below.
After that, we’ll be using the Coffee Tables to set up the windows. Set them up at the angles shown below, as it’ll ensure that the legs of the tables are not super visible from the outside.
You can also try out other angles, to make some interesting window designs.
Once you’ve set up the windows, the rest of the exterior will also need to be filled up. You can set up TV stands vertically at the angle shown below, to form a sleek modernist exterior wall.
Make sure you leave a small space, which will serve as the entrance to the restaurant.
Next, you’ll need to set up stairs that’ll allow you to climb up to the slightly elevated restaurant. You can use long drawers for this purpose, placing one lower than the other. You’ll only need x2 of these, but it’ll depend on the elevation.
Make sure that you set up the stairs right below the entrance. Otherwise, it’ll be awkward when you are trying to enter the restaurant.
Next, we’ll be using the Red Beds to set up the exterior roof designs. You can use any other color of bed if you want for this part too. Set up the beds at the angles shown below, such that three beds together form a curvature at the top.
We recommend that you place down a pallet temporarily. It’ll allow you to build stuff at the top of the restaurant much more easily.
Now use the rest of your pallets to set up the roof area that is not visible from the exterior. It’s basically the section of the restaurant that is covered from view by the beds. Simply place the pallets in the same orientation that you did the flooring.
Finally, you will need to put some finishing touches like windows and other decorations to the exterior. We recommend that you do this part after setting up the exterior, so that the exterior and interior themes match.
You can also add some lighting to the outside, so that it looks pretty at night.
Building the Interior
You have a lot more freedom when it comes to the interior, since the base and outline for the restaurant has been set up. We recommend that you let your creativity shine for this part and make something unique!
Nonetheless, we will provide you with ideas for the interior. Starting off, you’ll be making the kitchen for the restaurant. Place a fridge and ovens towards the back. You can rotate the ovens upside down, so that they look like modern pizza ovens!
After that, set up different counters and tables. You can place all sorts of items on these tables, such as a sink to give the impression of a dish washing area.
Once the kitchen equipment is set up, you can start placing food items around in intuitive locations. For example, you can place pizzas on the ovens so that it looks like they were just cooked.
You can also place other food items on the counters, so they look ready to serve.
No restaurant is complete without a checkout area. You can easily create one by placing tables or counters, alongside a screen as shown below. Consider placing food items there too, so it looks ready to serve!
Your customers will also need a place where they can actually sit down and eat. So use tables and chairs, alongside other accessories like rugs, to create a dining area. Make sure you place plenty of food items with cutlery so that it does not look plain.
You can also add chairs to the counter near the checkout area, so that it looks like a bar!
Finally, you will need to add some finishing touches to the interior to breathe some life to it. You can do this by adding fairy lights and lanterns around the interior. You can also add some other accessories, but lighting is important.
Here is an example of what the interior can look like. As you can see, all the small additions we made to the interior all add up to look like something beautiful.
And there you have it, you’ve created your own restaurant completely from scratch!
