Roblox Volleyball Academy is a Roblox volleyball simulation game. The game has a lot of features and mechanics on how you can start interacting with the ball.
With so many things to learn more about, it can be quite confusing for newer players.
In this guide, we will show you some of the basics that you need to know as a beginner when you are playing on a PC.
Complete Beginner’s Guide
How To Spawn Ball & Control
To spawn a ball, press G. This will let your character launch the ball upwards into the air, in a straight line. If you want to launch it a little bit forward, you can press G + Right Click.
After you have launched the ball upwards, it will start to fall down. You can then catch the ball and bump it toward the desired direction by walking in that direction.
No matter where you are facing, the ball will bounce in the direction you are moving towards. This is a great thing you can do to sometimes confuse your opponents.
Bumping
To launch your ball further, you will need to use the bumping technique. You can bump it by holding the right click and charging your left click.
This is your primary way of receiving serves from your opponents.
Spiking & Aiming
Next is Spiking. This is a fancy move that any players that are new want to know more about. To do it, follow the steps in its order:
- Jump before holding the left click.
- When you hold the left click, the bar will determine how strong you will hit the ball.
Sometimes, you will want to use a tap instead of a fully charged bar depending on your situation. As long as it helps you earn your scores.
For Aiming, keep in mind that you can still turn your character left and right, even 360 degrees if you can. This can be used to suddenly change the direction, making your more Spiking unexpected.
Blocking & Diving
Now that you know all attack moves, time to learn more about Blocking. As you jump and hold right-click, you will be able to block. You will be able to see a green barrier indicating that you are blocking.
If your opponent does a Spiking move, the ball will be blocked and it will bounce back onto your opponent’s side.
To Dive, press Q. To Sprint, press Shift.
Power Settings
Next, let’s learn about your Power Settings. First, press T after you log in, then go to Settings. Then, go to Power Settings. Everyone’s Spike charge should be at 100%.
For bump and set charges, these two are preference-based. A recommended set is 40% for Bump and 30% for Set Charge. You can try and customize it based on your playstyle.
Callouts
Next, let’s learn about the Callouts:
If you press E, you will be able to view the callouts: Broad in, Broad out, Medium, Sprint Medium, V1, and V2. These are callouts you can use to express how you are doing a Setting.
Setting means the beginning of an attack in volleyball. Initially, a setter sets the ball. After that, a hitter carries out an attack hit.
For Medium, you are going to do a Spiking with 3 and a half charges of your bar. Sprint Medium means you hold Sprint as you do the attack.
V1 is when the Setter stays in one place and launches the ball upwards. After that, the Spiker will run up to the Setter and do the Spiking.
V2 is very similar to V1. The only difference is that your teammate will launch the ball upwards a second time and the Spiker will spike the ball at a higher height. This is the least used set in the entire game.
The last two sets are Broad In and Broad Out.
Broad In is similar to a V1, with the Spiker moving from outside the border inwards. The Spiker will hit the ball right around in the center area (see the image below).
It’s the opposite for the Broad Out, with the Spiker moving from the center to the border. Once they reach the ball, they will launch it towards the opponent’s field.
This is a technique usually used by many duos in the game.
Those are some of the basics that you need to know as a Beginner in Roblox Volleyball Academy. This is a game that relies heavily on your skill.
This means that a lot of practice is required for you to be good at the game. Anyone is able to play as long as they can communicate effectively, and with a lot of practice.
