Joining one of your friend’s ongoing sessions is usually a one or two-click process with today’s technology unless you’re playing on the Xbox, and if the game you’re playing on that Xbox is Roblox. Sometimes what works on one platform just doesn’t do as well elsewhere.

But before you think about turning the comments section into a battlefield with PC and console enthusiasts as belligerents, it would be wise to practice some restraint as there’s actually a solution to joining a private server in Roblox.

So if you’re at the end of your rope, go and read through the guide for a while to make figuring things out all the easier.

How To Join A Private Server | Roblox (Xbox)

A few methods surprisingly require you to purchase a VIP server account, clearly, this won’t do as it really doesn’t help someone who only wishes to play for a few hours, setting up a server that has to be paid for and maintained monthly should be the last thing on your mind. This can be made easier if you have a working cellphone, however!

Now whip out your phone and download Roblox through whichever store that fancies you, you’re going to have to make an extra account so fill in all of the information with whatever you want including the password, just as long as you remember it of course. And don’t forget to lie about your birthday too!

Once you have access to your account go to the add friends section and search for the Xbox account username that you have, you’ll have to log in again using your main account once a request is sent in order to actually accept it.

Just repeat the same process until you see your alt account pop up in your requests.

Now that you’re well acquainted with yourself you can go ahead and choose a game to play!

Just scroll down until you find the ‘Servers’ tab, from there you can make your own private server or even join other servers. You can always change the number of players filter to ‘Descending’ if you don’t want too many people around.

That’s how you join private servers on Xbox, try it out for yourself, and remember to have fun!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
