Fishing in Rune Slayer might seem tricky at first, but don’t worry—I’ve got you covered! If you’re scratching your head trying to complete the “Catch Fish 0/5” objective, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know, from getting the right gear to mastering the fishing mechanics. Let’s dive in!

How To Catch Fish Guide

Before you can start fishing in Rune Slayer, you’ll need two things:

  • A Wood Fishing Rod – Costs 1 Silver and 25 Copper.
  • Bait (5 Worms) – Each worm costs 15 Copper.

You can buy both from the Fisherman NPC, who you’ll find hanging out near the lake’s pier, dock, or fishing platform—whichever term you prefer!

Once you have your gear, open your Tackle Bag and load up your bait. You won’t be able to fish without it, so make sure you have at least five worms before you start.

Now that you’re all set, head to the nearest body of water and do the following:

  1. Equip your Wood Fishing Rod.
  2. Click to cast your line into the water.
  3. Wait for ripples at the end of your fishing rod.
  4. Click again when you see ripples to reel in your catch!

Sounds easy, right? Well, patience is key! The waiting game can feel a bit slow, but stay sharp—missing the ripple means missing the fish.

Wrap-Up

Fishing in Rune Slayer is a simple but rewarding process. As long as you have your rod, bait, and some patience, you’ll have that “Catch Fish 0/5” objective done in no time. Now go out there and reel in some fish! Who knows, maybe you’ll even catch something rare.
