The recent Anchor weapon has just dropped in Rune Slayer! This mean-looking weapon can be attained with enough patience and grinding. With that being said, if you think you got what it takes to get it, then look no further. Here is a quick guide to getting the anchor in Rune Slayer.
How to Get the Anchor
To begin your journey, you must travel to Lakeshire Village. From there, you will need to head over to the docks.

You will meet a man named Philip the Angler who is standing at the edge of the walkway. When talking to the fisherman, he will offer you a quest. This mission requires you to capture certain fish (which is random for each player).

By opening up your Quests tab, you can click on the fish given to you. The game will show you where to find it. You must then head over there and start fishing. If you need more information about fishing in Rune Slayer, we have the guide on how to fish in Rune Slayer just for that!

After catching what you need, head back over to Philip. You complete the quest by handing over the fish which rewards you with 250 EXP. You must repeat this quest 20 times to get the anchor!

Things to Know Before Doing the Grind
- The anchor requires a minimum level of 30 to use. It grants the user +5 in Stamina and has a Physical Damage of 16. Lastly, it also possesses 3 rune slots.
- The quest needs to be done 20 times before finally receiving the anchor. However, you get extra rewards for each milestone you finish within that amount. You can find them here:
Rewards | Number of Quests Done |
Butcher Knife | 5 |
Iron Fishing Rod | 10 |
Straw Hat | 15 |
- Fishing in Rune Slayer can take some time to get the fish that you desire. RNG may not always be on your side.
- Lastly, after finishing 1 quest you will need to wait 20 minutes before talking to Philip again and starting all over.
While it can be a tough grind, the anchor weapon is a cool addition to any player’s inventory. It packs a mean swing and it can be a flex to own. Hopefully after reading this guide, you are well on your way to getting your own anchor weapon in Rune Slayer! You can start doing the grind yourself and show it off to your friends. (I know I would!)
