We sometimes get lost in video games and it’s not really a surprise, especially in a world that is not similar to our environment or nature we tend to get curious about them and sometimes curiosity has its own consequence that would cost us our lives.
In the game, of course, since we’re talking about Scars Above, and if you want to reach Hermes and you somehow got lost in the game we’ll help you out on that one.
Scars Above: Reaching “The Hermes”
In order to make a flammable liquid, you must first remove the thermo-reactive gland from the deceased Alluvial King. To do this, head to your crafting menu to craft it.
After finishing crafting, simply move on to the next area by going to the back where there is a split rock.
Just keep moving forward until you see the exit out of the cave.
When you exit the cave, you will see this scenery. An apparition will then appear and describe how the alien world used to be a lovely place, and an in-game cinematic will begin to play.
Once the cinematic is over, just keep going forward. You’ll be climbing up when a bunch of containers will start to pile up in your path. And your character would say that you’re near the crash site.
The next thing you’ll need to do is head over to this cave.
Once you come across these blocks, all you have to do is interact with them; doing so actually allows you to heal and save your game at the cost of having alien threats and monsters respawn.
Once you’ve saved and healed, simply move to the cave to your left, which is where you must go to find The Hermes.
This area will shortly be inhabited by an alien monster. Prepare your weapon and begin firing at the glowing heart in the creature’s chest to cause significant damage.
You’ll come across about three or four alien monsters; simply shoot them in the heart, and take care not to get struck by their arms, which deal a lot of damage. After you’ve defeated the aliens, head toward the elevated path on the area’s left side and keep ascending.
As you reach the top, go to the rocks that your character can fit into and interact with it. Your character will then begin to crouch in the rocks to enter, taking you to a new location.
Once inside the cave, there will be a split path; once there, take the one on the right as we had to go there to locate Hermes.
As you get to this area and interact with it, your character will start moving and will eventually get to the other place.
After leaving the cave, just keep going until you get to what appears to be a temple with floating rocks.
When you get at the temple, a cinematic that depicts dead bodies scattered about it in what appears to be a slaughter will start playing. Your character will then converse with the apparition, which is an extraterrestrial humanoid.
Following the cinematic, your character now holds a holographic emitter that she seized from one of the bodies on the ground; you can use this emitter to draw your opponents away from you.
When playing this game, map navigation is a crucial ability to keep in mind as you travel to various areas on this strange planet. Following then, just keep going forward and follow the mark on your map to avoid getting lost.
Once you enter the wetlands, you’ll come across a particular kind of monster that has its heart at its back and is somewhat difficult to kill. To do this, use your cryo launcher to keep shooting it for about three times until it becomes frozen.
While the big guy is slowed down by the cryo-freeze you can also try to kill its minions so that they won’t bother you. That’s a bit tricky to do since you still have to deal with the huge monster though.
Since its heart is towards the rear, you must first freeze him up; this will cause him to move more slowly. Then, point your weapon at its back, which is where its heart is, and begin blasting; this will cause significant damage.
After the monster is dead, you can go on to another area where you are almost at the Hermes.
And this is where your Hermes ship crashed; simply enter the ship to carry on with your objective.
