The One Piece-inspired fighting game on Roblox called Seas Battlegrounds has just updated, and they added a little surprise character from a completely different franchise. Gojo has somehow stumbled into the world of pirates, and in this guide, we will be showing you the steps on how to unlock him!

How to Get Gojo Guide & How to Use

The easiest but also a fairly expensive method of getting Gojo is by simply opening up the in-game store and buying the “Instant Sorcerer Access” game pass for a whopping 1,300 Robux.

Unless you are a big spender and just don’t have the time to be grinding out the requirements, we don’t really recommend this method. If you are ready for a tough grind, however, let’s go over the regular steps below!

Finding the Gojo NPC

First up, when you spawn into the game, head over to the leaderboards in the open arena. This will be your starting point so I can easily guide you to the right direction.

While you’re doing this, be careful not to stand around for too long. Players will start attacking you at random if you’re out here in the open! Either beat them or try your best to ignore the damage.

Now, from the leaderboards, face the waterfall directly in front of it. Next, make your way through this alleyway pointed out in the image below.

Upon entering the alleyway, immediately turn to your right and keep running forward until you spot a bloodied Gojo leaning on a tree. All you have to do at this point is to just walk up to him and interact with him!

Gojo Quest Steps

When you first talk to Gojo, you can ask him about teaching you the ways of his power. In order to prove yourself worthy of his abilities, he will be giving you a series of difficult quests.

We hope you are good enough to beat other players consistently, because the objectives you need to complete are the following:

  • Win three ranked matches in a row
  • Defeat 100 players total in ranked matches
  • Win 33 matches overall in ranked mode

As far as I can tell, Gojo never specified what specific game mode for ranked, so feel free to try and complete the objectives in either 1v1s or any of the team modes.

Also, there is no specific order in which you have to complete these quests. This is great because you can easily get one of them done while still making progress with the other objectives, and it will give you a lot of opportunities to finish the “three straight wins” goal.

Gojo’s Base Abilities & Awakening Move Set

After the long and arduous process of unlocking Gojo as a playable character, you will finally gain access to his fairly strong kit. His base form’s abilities are the following:

  • 1. Reversal Red – The user will charge up an energy blast that does some damage in an area around them and knocks affected enemies back.
  • 2. Lapse Blue – Pulls the target enemy towards the user, dealing a small amount of damage.
  • 3. Tenryu Rensa – This is a barrage of punches that puts you in an animation lock. Knocks the target back on the last punch of the barrage.
  • 4. Hangeki – This is a counter ability that will result in a very intense down slam from high up in the air if you can successfully land it.

In addition to that base set of abilities, Gojo also has an awakened version that gives you a much more powerful (temporary) kit that you can use as long as this mode is still active. Here are the awakened abilities:

  • 1. Maximum: Red – Essentially a more powerful version of Reversal Red. It knocks back affected enemies by a significantly further distance on hit.
  • 2. Maximum: Blue – The user conjured up a large ball of blue energy that will spin around them and deal damage while also sucking in nearby enemies as long as it is channeled.
  • 3. Black Flash – Damaging move that can be used three times in a row if successfully landed before going on a fairly long cooldown. It has different variants per cast.
  • 4. Infinite Void – This is the domain expansion ability that plays a cutscene and places you and the target enemy in separate dimension for a few seconds.
  • Hollow Purple – With a full 200% Output meter, you can press G to cast this ability. It is an extremely strong and far reaching area of effect attack.

A Few Tips for His Kit

One simple combo you can execute with this character’s base move set is to simply hit a Reversal Red and then immediately follow it up with a Lapse Blue before they can stand up.

This can get you some free damage with little effort, and there is a chance that you can land a few basic attacks after the Lapse Blue pull, though this may be a bit too greedy.

Tenryu Rensa is also a very versatile ability that you can use to follow up after his other base abilities. It can also be utilized as a combo extender after a string of basic attacks.

Another decent and simple combo to pull off is to start the fight with a Lapse Blue immediately followed up with a string of basic attacks and Tenryu Rensa.

As the opponent is still on the ground, hit them with a Reversal Red to knock them back down again. This will deal a decent chunk of damage and open up a free opportunity to further pressure your opponent.

You can also opt to counter with Hangeki if you think the other player is going to quickly get up and try to take their turn in attacking, and this is the safer play to do after exhausting your other skills.

While in your awakened state, you can pretty much just get away with spamming your abilities. Maximum: Red in particular is hilariously easy to land and is almost completely risk-free to use.

Maximum: Blue, on the other hand, may not be the wisest choice if your opponent is freely moving around. This is because it has a long wind up time that you will really only catch somebody with it if they are being very careless.

Finally, Black Flash can be weaved in between basic attack strings, and you can quickly follow it up with a Maximum: Red if you have decent aim. This can be a great way to maximize your damage output before your mode eventually runs out.

And that is everything you need to know in order to unlock this new character in the game, as well as how you can best utilize all of his abilities.
