When playing world building games like Civilization VI, you often try to get as many resources as you can when you first start. It’s not really a bad tactic, because you never know when you might lose the resources down the line. But it also hurts you in the long run, as you sometimes might not need that resource just yet. That’s why it’s better to hold off on collecting certain resources until you really need it. In this guide, we’ll show you the ideal time of when is the right time to chop in Civilization VI.
When To Chop? – Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
Only do it if you are really running out of resources
The ideal time to chop resources is when you are really running out of said resources, like you are down to the double digits. At all times, it’s best to have resources readily available around you so you can make sure they grow and expand to have more resources ready for when you chop. Otherwise, it’s best not to do anything to the resources around you until you are pretty sure you are going to run out of said resource.
