How To Beat Whigmaster Guide
The Whigmaster has four phases and your playstyle will change depending on your platform. On PC, the gun is a better, safer way to play it out until the 3rd phase. For mobile users, you want to stick to the sword and shield combo to make sure you land your hits when you need to. But most importantly, don’t be greedy.
Let’s begin with Phase One.
If you’re still starting out, playing it safe is always the best bet. For the first phase, you should start attacking after he used this move. It’s a triple shot, each only on a single direction, which means he’s open for attacks.
If you hear a charging sound, it’s time to dodge as he’ll send out a tracking missile attack. Keep dodging until the skill is done and keep attacking.
Onto Phase 2, you want to dodge most of his moves right here. The only timing to land your hit, and melee users should not here, is when he’s using the five-circle move. You need to watch your health, however, and make sure to avoid his killing blows. Rinse and repeat.
Phase 3, a subsequently harder phase as it’s almost impossible to approach him on melee. The Whigmaster will start using one-shot skills that you must avoid.
As a PC player, your job is to spam your scrolls and gun. While mobile players, you can spam your mic, 1st ability, 4th ability, and scrolls. Additionally, you should try spamming “;explode” on chat. Patience is key on this phase where you’ll spend 60% of the time dodging and staying alive.
For Phase 4, you need the Upper Sword to land a major damage on the boss. You have two important things to note here: avoid the pillars and use the Upper Sword when he’s open. And much like Phase 3, you want to focus on staying alive first by dodging and dealing damage when you can.
