Moving around Smalland as you would guess, is never going to be an easy feat no thanks to the size bestowed upon you and your people. Now the way I see it, you have two solutions to get yourself through this.
Wait for a few million years and see if evolution will cut you some slack and give you a growth ticket or you go out there now and craft yourself a grappling hook to start swinging around.
Personally, the latter sounds more like an immediate solution, which makes it all the better. So in this guide, we’ll waste no time and get you what you need to make the Grapple Gun and Hook!
How To Get Grapple – Smalland
The first thing you’ll need is to talk to Nok, she has the recipe for both items and will also provide you with some more information to aid you on your adventure.
The second thing that you need to get your hands on is a stonecutter, a few prerequisite items will be crafted here to make the whole set.
Craft yourself some flint shears once you have the stonecutter, you’ll need five units of fiber, resin, refined wood, and eight flints.
You’ll need those shears to break open spider cocoons so head on over to the west side where the swamp is and give the local ecosystem a good shake. You’re not going there to remind them that they’re weak by the way, you’re going there to gather a hundred units of silk for your grapple gun in case you’ve already forgotten.
Now to the next phase, crafting the Loom & Spindle! To create this you’ll need ten resin and silk along with seven refined wood and two pieces of fiber.
First, the Grapple Gun, for this you’ll need ten fiber strings and 10 chitin.
The fiber string can be made on the loom itself while the chitin can be gathered around the beach from Sawyer Beetles. Craft that and place it in your hand inside of your inventory and put the hooks where the arrows should be.
It’s not completely ideal to swing around everywhere you go with the grapple gun, you should test the tool first nearby as it needs vigorous amounts of clicking and holding of the mouse to get used to before it can get you out of a bind.
But now getting from one place to another will be made easier since you can just grab onto it from a distance!
