Solo Leveling: Arise is a new RPG based on Solo Leveling webtoon (Manhwa). The game is set to officially release on 8th May, 2024. You can pre order it right now on Android and iOS if you wish to.
As you can expect, Solo Leveling: Arise is a Gacha type of a game in which stats matter a lot. One of the ways you can get good stat bonuses in Solo Leveling: Arise is through Artifacts. Artifacts in basically the gear system of this game. Read this short guide to learn everything about Artifacts and where to get them from.
Complete Artifact Guide
There are 8 Artifact categories in Solo Leveling: Arise. 4 of them (Helmet, Armor, Gloves and Boots) are unlocked from the start of the game. You unlock the other 2 (Necklace and Bracelet) by getting your next Job (Shadowmancer). And the last 2 (Ring and Earrings) are unlocked by completing Chapter 12 (The Strange Raids).
Artifact Effects
The game has a lot of different Artifact Sets each offering unique bonuses. There are 2 types of Effects for each Artifact Set. You get the first Effect on equipping 2 Artifact pieces and the 2nd Effect on equipping 4 Artifact pieces of the Set.
Some examples of the Set Types available in the game:
- Critical Set
- Break Set
- Shield Set
- Attack Set
- Ultimate Skill Set
- Power Gauge Set
- + Many more (if I start to name every single one of them, the list will get very big)
As you might have guessed by now, some Sets will work best with certain characters while being completely useless for others. You need to keep your character abilities and skills in mind before you choose an Artifact Set for them.
For example: Choi Jong-In can not do any critical damage (because of his Passive) so using the Critical Set with him is meaningless. However his attacks get an increase of 40% for the lack of critical damage which makes the Attack Set (Executioner) a good choice for him.
NOTE: Changing Artifacts cost Gold.
How To Get Artifacts
There are 4 rarity levels of Artifacts in Solo Leveling: Arise. Those are Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary in order of increasing rarity. Similar to other Gacha games, the higher the rarity level of an Artifact, the more stat boosts it gives but it is equally harder to get. Thus, getting Legendary Artifacts will require a lot of grinding.
Gates
You can get Artifacts from Gates which requires you to use a Gate Key.
A single Gate will only give you 1 Artifact along with other rewards.
Encore Missions
This is where you will be mostly grinding for Artifacts. You use a Key to participate in a mission. Every day, you get 3 Keys for free. You can also buy Keys by using Essence Stones if you want.
