In a meta where everyone is going for the Elementalist with the button mashing approach in Soul Knight Prequel, the Ranger remains to be seen as a more mechanically inclined class in the game.
The Ranger class will require you to gracefully hit-and-run (kite) across the battlefield, which needs lots of practice and skill – truly a breath of fresh air for seasoned Soul Knight players.
If you’re interested in learning more about the Ranger class, especially the most ideal and best builds of the class for End Game, I got you covered!
Best Ranger Build Guide & End Game
Projectile Type Ranger
Weapon: Buccaneer Captain’s Naval Cannon or Soul Calibre (The 2nd Fatebound is up to you)
- For Naval Cannon, you’d want to focus your weapon on regular/physical damage and DEX.
- For Soul Calibre, you’d want to prioritize the bonuses on Crit Chance, Strength, Attack Speed, Skill CD, and lastly, Damage.
Also, if you’re interested in using the Soul Calibre and still don’t know where to find it, here’s a complete guide which shows you exactly how you can get the Soul Calibre ranged weapon in the game.
Fatebound Sets: Heavy Ordinance, Multishot, Lock On (Other options: Brutality, Manasteal)
Soul Options: Buccaneer (Bludgeoning Effect), Medusa (More damage, the farther the target/s) or Anubis (Bonus Life)

Playstyle & Valkyrie Boons Recommendation
As for the playstyle, keep in mind that while this build and class deals tons of damage, as well as a fast-farming speed, it’s probably one of the squishiest ones as well.
Make sure that you never drop the ball, and don’t stop moving at all times! You also can’t use your skills recklessly as you might leave yourself open to enemies.
If you badly need to kite something, I recommend going in a circular motion (while dodging projectiles) around the space you’re given to, so that you can consistently keep on moving easily without any issue.
Last but not the least, of course, the options for Valkyrie Boons. Here are my 3 recommended choices:
- Main: Thor’s Demesne
- Choose 1: Harbinger of Helheim or Freya’s Bulwark
- Choose 1: Gungnir or Laevateinn
And that’s the best Ranged builds, perfect for End Game in Soul Knight. Remember that this build requires you to move a lot while attacking, so make sure you practice and find a good strategy.
