Swinging around New York has and will always be a fun pastime activity even in Spider-Man 2. But the fun has a way of stopping itself sometimes when you start looking for certain objectives intently, objectives like the nine EMF Experiments scattered around the playable area.

Are they difficult to do? Maybe. They’re certainly easy to miss, however. So, if you’ve been trying to find these experiments with the intent of just clearing them out for a costume then you’re in the right place. Read the rest of the guide and know more about Peter’s Life Story!

All Downtown Brooklyn EMF Experiments

There’s only a total of two locations in Downtown Brooklyn out of the nine EMF Experiments you have to find along the five boroughs of New York.

You can do Brooklyn Heights anytime you like. You’ll need to clear Little Odessa first if you want to unlock Prospect Park Bee Drones.

The ninth EMF experiment will only unlock once you finish the main story. Spoiler alert if you’re not there yet.

Spider Man 2 Wind Turbine Puzzle Location

Brooklyn Heights Energy

Two new locations will pop up on your map once you finish the cutscene with Dr. Nguyen. Both of them will be right next to the main road south of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Spider Man 2 Wind Turbine Puzzle Location

Follow the gusts of wind while maintaining a high enough altitude using your Web Wings. This figure will vary depending on the system of measurement you’re using.

A prompt will tell you to deploy a wind turbine once you’ve held on long enough. Do this five times to move on to the next objective.

Spider Man 2 Wind Turbine Puzzle

A marker will appear on your radar showing the compromised wind turbine. You’re going to have to defend it from Talon drones and thugs with yellow teeth.

Clear them out and throw the turbine back in place to finish the objective.

Spider Man 2 British Thugs

Prospect Park Bee Drones

Head further inland to get started on the next objective. You can get started with this area once you finish off Little Odessa. You know, the place where the Lord of War used to live.

This time, you’ll help the drones identify predators. Use the bee drones to protect the nests from rats and other pests.

Your targets will be highlighted as long as you’re flying the drone, making them easy to see. Check your minimap on the bottom right as well if you can’t see anything else. Don’t let the battery run out on the drone as well!

Spider Man 2 Drone Puzzle

Do that until you destroy all ten targets to move on to the next objective. Up next is marking five nest locations.

Each location will appear on your minimap. After marking the third location the drone will get stolen.

Spider Man 2 Drone Puzzle

Head over to the drone’s last location to update your map. You’ll get four more locations you need to visit in order to track down the thugs who stole the drone.

Get to the roof and steal someone’s cable connection to find the garage they took it to.

Spider Man 2 Stolen Drone Location

Switch to the drone’s Sonic mode and destroy the cages containing bees. Shoot at least five cages to force the thugs to open the garage door.

You’re going to have to get down there and take out the thugs as well to keep the prison cells nice and warm.

Spider Man 2 Glass Cages

That’s how you clear out the Downtown Brooklyn EMF Experiments in Spider-Man 2. Don’t forget that you can skip these side missions if you aren’t warming up to them!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
