Stardew Valley is one of the more famous indie games out there that rose to fame. It’s one of the best farm life simulators out there and I myself have dropped over 400 hours into the game, mostly because of mods!

The game can be as hectic and action-packed as you want or just a fun and relaxing one. Still, there’s one thing that’s always constant with any playthrough and it’s time.

In this guide, we’ll show you everything you need to know about the Calendar in Stardew Valley, an important tool for the farmer!

Everything You Need To Know About Calendars – Stardew Valley

When you first start off you don’t really have access to a nearby calendar, luckily for you, there’s one right at Pierre’s Store.

It’s outside as well, so even if Pierre annoyingly closes the store on Wednesdays, you can still access the calendar.

Once you have enough money though it’s great to invest in an actual calendar that you can place on your home. I like to place mine next to the bed so that I can check on what the date is and what to look out for.

Now the image below might have some weird differences but that’s because I’m using a couple of mods. The idea is still the same though, if you check the calendar you can see two things:

  • The townspeople’s birthdays
  • The events in that season, marked with a purple flag

You can use this to plan on giving people birthday gifts, since giving them gifts on their birthday doesn’t count as a gift for the week, and it also has a massive relationship boost, just as long as they like it!

You can also plan for events so that you know what to expect.

It’s also a great tool to plan out if you want to plant a certain crop. For example, you might think to plant cauliflower it’ll take 12 days, better check the calendar if you have 12 days to spare!

With all these uses, a calendar really is an efficient tool to have! So what are you waiting for? Go out there and get a calendar for yourself!
