Stardew Valley – Summer Crops Tier List

Spring just ended and the last set of crops you were supposed to harvest two days ago have instantly wilted. With the greenhouse far from your reach you only have a few days to either prioritize making a profit or stocking up on items that you can gift to your neighbors. Not to mention filling up the community center early on! If you’re a returning veteran or even a new player then maybe going through a tier list can be of interest to you? Here’s hoping you have enough space around your farm to make a few changes!

Summer Crops Tier List | Stardew Valley

Maximizing profit should sometimes be considered whenever making a tier list that involves money, but this isn’t about that. If that were the case Wheat and Hops would’ve easily made it on top because alcohol is always your friend in times of need! But we’re going to show a little bit of restraint as we go through the list of crops for summer as fairly as possible while still considering things like experience or overall effort!

S Tier

  • Summer Seeds
  • Coffee Bean
  • Starfruit

If it’s quickly gaining experience you’re after then the three crops above can give you the boost that you’re looking for, the Starfruit will have to wait until next year but while waiting you still have two crops to make up for the lack of money coming in!

A Tier

  • Blueberry
  • Hops
  • Red Cabbage

Multiple harvest crops always feel like a printing factory for money, but the fact that they take two weeks to grow leaves you dry for the first or second half of the season, especially if you have no more real-estate left on your farm.

B Tier

  • Hot Peppers
  • Melon

Nothing too crazy on this tier as both Hot Peppers and Melon offer only a fair amount of experience and profit for each yield. The fact that you can get multiple harvests out of the pepper for the whole season helps keep it where it’s currently at.

C Tier

  • Poppy
  • Radish
  • Tomato

If you’re on a tight budget or saving up for the latter half of the season then the crops in this tier can get you there easily, if you enjoy seeing only red on your farm that is. For a multiple harvest crop the Tomatoes still stay on C Tier as there’s only a chance for it to happen, unlike the Blueberries.

D Tier

  • Wheat
  • Summer Spangle

It feels so bad to do Wheat dirty like this, but if you use Speed-Gro and stash it to make Beer to witness the local alcohol consumption rates sky-rocket then Wheat will be sitting on “S” along with Hops any day. If you like Caroline more compared to Pierre’s prices then that’s enough to reserve a spot for Summer Spangle on this Tier.

F Tier

  • Corn
  • Sunflower

Spending 150-200 gold on crops that take forever to grow isn’t really a fun idea when finances are tight, you’re better off just planting a few of these for your community bundles and for storage.

Now you know what crops are worth the effort having whether it’s for profit, gifting, or simply aesthetic purposes. Thank you to RoguePie for keeping everyone up to date with everything Stardew Valley related! If you want to go through more information check out the video:

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
