Stranded: Alien Dawn is a survival game where you will be controlling colonists and building your way up from nothing. In the very beginning stages of the game, you will need to have a stable supply of Leather. That is why in this guide we will be showing you how to get Leather. Let’s get started.

How To Get Leather – Stranded: Alien Dawn

Leather is one of the essentials in Stranded Alien Dawn. You will be able to craft lots of recipes with it. Mostly you will need it when it comes to clothing your colonists or simply just for building something. Anyhow you will need a stable supply so we recommend having a farm for it.

To make leather you will need to have Hide. You can get hide by simply sending your colonists to go out hunting for various types of animals. You can see the types of animals and their drops if you click on them. Most of them will have Hide as a drop.

Then you will need to actually craft a Dryer. This is an item that you can get pretty early on in the game. You can place it wherever you will want and then you’ll need to actually put the Hide inside of it.

You will wait for a while and when it comes out you will have Leather on your hands. Make sure that you use the Large Dryer and put it outside of your house. This is how it works best probably because of the air outside(not certain).

If you have colonists not actually going for the hides and making them into leather, have them manually placed and selected to haul the Hides on the ground.

You will need to hang the rawhide on the drying rack too if the dryer doesn’t work. Sometimes your workers will just drop it to go for good. It isn’t a very high priority for them so you will need to manually check.

That’s everything that you need to know about Getting Leather in Stranded: Alien Dawn. We hope that this guide has helped you out with this task. Have fun making lots of leather!
