Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set in the intricate neon-lit alleyways of a crumbling cybercity and its sordid underbelly. Explore your surroundings, defend against unexpected attacks, and unravel the secrets of this unwelcoming environment inhabited only by unassuming droids and frightening monsters.

Ultimate Beginners Guide – Stray

You are a Cat

And do not forget it! You will be seeing tons of dangerous and weird enemies along the way. Of course, you will have your own companion which is a drone that will help you. Still do not forget this important fact.

This means that you will need to hide when needed and be patient not to get spotted. Do not take any actions if you’re feeling not powerful enough, etc. When exploring do not take on endeavors that will lead to your injury or falling down.

Cats have 9 lives. Well, you have unlimited lives, just you’ll have to go back to the respawn menu and start all over again. Nobody wants that.

When going through a different puzzle or kind of a difficult area or zone to pass, you will make sure to take a step back and look at how it might seem from afar.

This means that even before you start jumping and crawling your way to pass the level, you will need to take a breather and actually see the whole area and come up with different ideas of where to jump, how to jump when to jump, how fast to move, and etc.

This is going to be the key to not falling down. Sometimes you will have some unexpected things in your way, but this even further supports the element of you being prepared for anything. Stray is going to be a fantastic game about this kind of thing.

Interactive Objects and Hidden Details

Along your road to salvation and understanding what’s going on in the world where you landed, you’ll come across lots of different settings and areas. Your companion will be a small little flying drone, the B12.

Use him whenever you can when traversing along unknown areas. Double-check all the zones not just with the cat, but with the drone as well. There will be tons of hidden things to be explored or looted along the way.

It looks like the game will be having its fair share of hidden information and details about the lore and the town itself. So an extra exploration time will be needed if you want to clear up some things about the whole story.

Communicate With The Inhabitants

You will see tons of NPCs that are interactable with. This is something that you’ll want to be doing. This will not just clear up some secrets about the world that you’ll play in, but maybe even some details and helpful information on how to pass some hard and tricky levels.

There will be plenty of friendly interactions within the world. Maybe sometimes even not so friendly, so make sure to read the situation first.

Stray is going to be a very interesting game when it comes out. For now, we can only speculate what there will be and how the game will play out, but from what we know so far, it’s going to be amazing. We are more than excited and the next thing is to just wait for the release date!
