Strikers Odyssey is a new Roblox game adapted from the Blue Lock manga and show. It is football but with a twist involving players with unique abilities to help them score in games. This guide will serve as a complete guide for beginners.
Complete Beginner’s Guide
This guide is divided into two parts, with one focusing on the controls and the other on cosmetics and currencies.
Controls
The first set of controls involves tackling, which is crucial to winning possession back from the opposing team. Q is for a normal tackle, while A executes a sliding steal tackle. Lastly, the right mouse button is used for a standing tackle.
The next set of controls is for passes which are important since they help to control the flow of the game by either controlling it or splitting defenses using lob or through balls. E is used for the auto low pass, while T is for the auto lob pass. Additionally, F is used for the heel pass in which the player passes the ball back without looking. The direction of all these passes can be adjusted by using a mouse.
Headers can be executed using R. These are especially helpful for making contact with the ball if it is airborne.
Shooting is undoubtedly the most important aspect of the game since you cannot score goals without shooting. For a simple shot, you can hold down the left mouse button. However, you should be aware that the duration of holding down the button affects the shot power. A good tip for scoring goals is to shoot while facing the camera toward the ground since the keeper reacts late to this type of shot.
N is used to open the emote wheel, which can be used to show off after scoring goals. Moreover, M opens the menu where you can access the skill trees for different weapons. This unlocks unique abilities depending on what weapons you are using. These skills can also be assigned to the hotbar, which can be used in matches.
H is used for requesting a pass from teammates. Lastly, dribbling key binds are Z, X, C, and V for Left, Back, Forward, and Right dribbles, respectively.
Currencies and Cosmetics
There are two types of currencies in the game currently, namely, Yen and Spins. Yen is awarded to players when they win matches. It can be exchanged for emotes and accessories and possibly cosmetics soon. Other than this, it has no use.
Spins are the most valuable resource in the game since these allow you to change your build by trying new weapons and also help you to switch your prodigy. There are two types of spins. The first one is the Prodigy Spin which can help you change your current prodigy.
The second type of spin is the weapon spin. These are used for changing your current weapons in favor of new ones. This can allow you to try out different builds before deciding which one is the best for you. However, they are meaningless once you stick to a specific build. However, as more weapons arrive in future updates having surplus spins will help you test that weapon as soon as it is released.
These are mostly obtained from codes and in-game purchases but sometimes are rewarded for winning matches. 1-3 weapon spins can be received from matches while only one prodigy spin is awarded.
Strike Odyssey may feel overwhelming for new players at first, but with this guide, you should have no trouble getting used to the game’s mechanics. We would love to hear from you in the comments if you have any questions or suggestions.
