Learning the ins and outs of a game can be a frustrating but rewarding task, but sometimes you just can’t get it. In Striker Odyssey there’s a lot of things you’ll need to know to play well in the game, from weapons to skills and even skill combinations. A skill that you’ll want to know is Trapping which can be combined by other skills to maximize its performance.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to correctly use Trapping in the game. We’ll also show you how what the skills are and how to combine them effectively! Now, let’s see what Trapping is all about.
How To Use Trapping Correctly
There’s a lot of techniques that you can use in Striker Odyssey to give you an edge when playing it. One of the things you’ll need to learn is Trapping. This is when you use certain skills and techniques to get control of the ball. Certain skills can help ‘trap’ the ball to you so you can then kick it or pass it using other skills.
Black Hole Trap
The Black Hole Trap lets you jump into the air and catches the ball. With that said, it is used to get the ball that’s kicked high. Great for using against a goalkeeper that is kicking a ball to a random teammate, since they’ll always kick the ball high. When that happens, you can use this to catch the ball for yourself.
Trap Shot
The Trap shot is a skill that can only be used after doing another skill before it. Either a Black Hole Trap, Creative Trap or Zero Reset Turn. The way this skill works is difficult to master since it shoots the ball to the direction where the previous skill was aiming. Not only that but it always shoots 90 degrees left or right depending on the direction.
We’ll give some tips on how to combo this move with the previous moves needed to use this.
Black Hole Trap + Trap Shot
You can combine the Black Hole Trap with the Trap Shot and you can quickly get the ball from the enemy Goalkeeper when they pass to another player.
Creative Trap
The Creative Trap is the next skill that you can pair with Trap shot. This skill however can’t be used while you have the ball, since it’s a skill used to pass through enemies. The best way to use this is to kick it forward a bit, use the skill and then use the Trap Shot. Paired with Stealthy Step or Explosive and you can easily use it to score a goal.
Zero Reset Turn
Zero Reset Turn is difficult to master since it’s a bit wonky on how the game does it. To use the skill you’ll need to either get a pass from another teammate or kick the ball forward. Then when you move you teleport back to the area you used the skill plus a little bit forward.
You’ll need to use this skill backwards, then you’ll teleport a bit forward, a great way to bait enemies. Then you can end it with a Trap shot.
Fake Volley Shot
This isn’t really a skill used for Trap Shot but it’s still an important skill on the skill tree. The Fake Volley Shot is a counter move where your character fakes a shot or a kick. When an enemy tries to steal the ball from you, they won’t be able to for a while and you’re free to follow up with a real shot. This is also great for faking passes and going to a shot.
Those are all the things you’ll need to know to use Trapping correctly in Striker Odyssey. Now go out there and try to master this skill! If you’re completely new to the game, then why not check out our guide for beginners for more information!
