Tactics Ogre Reborn is another old school game that recently rereleased with a fresh coat of paint. Tactics Ogre Reborn is a tactical role playing game set in a medieval fantasy world. If you have played games like Final Fantasy Tactics and such, then you will be familiar with the gameplay of Tactics Ogre Reborn. There are multiple boss fights in the game that will surely give you a run for your money, but today we will be focusing on how to fight Nybeth. If you are having trouble fighting the bosss Nybeth, then this guide is for you.
NYBETH Boss Fight Guide – Tactics Ogre Reborn
There’s a way to defeat Nybeth, but the method is actually quite simple. Here’s how:
Step 1: Go to Almorica Castle
After beating Krysaro twice, go back to Almorica Castle. You will get a cutscene when you do.
Step 2: Go back to Krysaro and purchase new items
After the cutscene in Almorica Castle, you will have unlocked new items to help strengthen your party. You can get these new items in the Krysaro shop. Be sure to get the Philtre of Ashes item. This will grant the Sidestep ability to anyone affected with the item. You don’t have to get it, but it will make the fight easier.
Step 3: Party Setup
Your party should consist of mostly tanky characters with two healers and a wizard. The strategy here will be to rush the enemy boss with tanky characters, while the healers do their job from afar, as well as the wizard. Archers will not be of any use here, so it is best to leave them behind.
Step 4: The Boss Fight
When the fight starts, you have to skip the first turn. Do not approach them first. Let the enemies come to you. If you have Canopus with you, have him pick up a Critical buff when it appears, as Canopus will be the one to rush the boss. But, he will need some help to cover the other side of Nybeth, so I recommend having Denam (in a Berserker class) to flank Nybeth.
The goal of this strategy is to have two people rush the boss and take him down. The others will handle the other enemies. However, you should have your two melee attackers be equipped with some healing items as they approach Nybeth, as well as the Philtre of Ashes if you bought them. While the other enemies are dealing with your party cannot attack you, Nybeth still packs a punch.
Result:
After a while, you will defeat Nybeth and the boss fight will be over. You don’t have to defeat all of the enemies, but just Nybeth himself.
