Let’s grind out money and EXP without the hiccups in Tales of Tanorio!

I wanna be, the very best...

Stop me if you’ve heard about this one before — Pokémon. Okay, so naturally I stopped, because everyone knows about Pokémon. What about this one then? Roblox. Yeah, I stopped there too because it’s pretty obvious what Roblox is. Now: Tales of Tanorio. This is pretty much one of the best Roblox titles on the platform because it’s one of the best Pokémon-likes around. In this guide, we’ll learn the best way to farm EXP & Money | Stadium 1 – 2.

Best Way To Farm EXP & Money | Stadium 1 – 2

Tales of Tanorio is a pretty incredible game — it’s hard to believe that such a thing is completely free to play, but then that’s the magic of Roblox for you. In this game you get the help of Pokémon-like beings called Tanorians. For anyone who is familiar with how Pokémon games go, Tales of Tanorio tries to follow suits as much as it can.

The coolest thing is that it somehow manages to do a fantastic job of it. There are many, many Pokémon fangames out there, and Tales of Tanorio is definitely one of the best.

So, first and foremost, I’m going to explain to you guys the easy way, and then I’m going to explain the best way. That said, make sure that you’ve made up your mind on the best possible Starter in the game!

The Easy Way

So, let me introduce you guys to one of the easiest ways to farm Exp & Money in this game. Keep in mind, however, that this is for Stadium 1 – 2. What this means is that you should have already unlocked Stadium 2. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s find the NPC that can give you easy money, as well as access to pretty good EXP.

Start by opening your menu, and choosing the Traveling section.

Menu in Tales of Tanorio
A pretty handy menu.

Next up, you’re going to head on over to Route 5, which is show below:

An even handier map!

Once you’re there, all you have to do is head over to Kaigan Canyon. Fortunately, when you fast travel to Route 5, it’s pretty easy to spot the entrance to the canyon.

SIDE NOTE: You’ll want to get some Mounts if you’re going to travel in style. Here’s a showcase on Tartorian Mounts to help you get started!

The entrance is plain to see.

After that, it’s a relatively simple process of heading to where I’ve placed this red string, and then finding the NPC there.

Just follow the red string.

I’ve found him, now what?

Well, if you haven’t seen this guy before, chances are he’s going to challenge you to a match. You’d best be prepared, because this is one of the hardest fights in the — I’m just kidding. This one is a relative pushover compared to most of the other stuff you’ll face in the game.

NPC in Kaigan Canyon, Tales of Tanorio
Hi Brandon.

This NPC — whose name is Brandon, by the way — will battle you with a Level 25 Cornica. Technically, by the time you end up in this area you’ll be able to beat him without too many issues. In fact, I’m convinced that if you have a disadvantaged Tanorian at a lower level, you will probably still make quick work of him.

Beating Brandon in Tales of Tanorio
Liiike so.

The cool thing is, beating him gives you a total of 1997 in cash, as well as a decent amount of EXP. Even if your Tanorians are well into the 30s, you wouldn’t have a difficult time leveling up. That’s pretty much the easy way in a nutshell! Brandon might seem like a pushover, but we’ll be nice to him since he allows players to earn a lot of money off his battles.

Keep in mind that all you have to do is click on him again to start another battle. If you have some time to kill, it’s surprisingly easy to rack up the cash by battling him again and again.

What about the Best Way?

So, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s time to talk about what I would consider the best way of gathering EXP in the game (and money too, of course). The idea is to get to Kaigan Cliffs. If you aren’t there yet, not to worry, I’ll guide you.

So, first off, head over to Kaigan Canyon. You were probably beating on Brandon, so you’re already there (good). Pretty close to the entrance, you’ll find some vines which you can climb:

Don’t need the red string for this one!

All you have to do is click on the vines, and you’ll climb up. After that, it’s a simple process of following the path to the right until you reach a cave. Enter the cave, and you’ll find yourself in a place where you’ll probably be battling plenty of Tanorians due to the high encounter rate.

Now, in case you still don’t know how to climb up the vines, you will need to progress through the game until you beat the second gym leader, Dylan. After defeating Dylan, you will immediately unlock a new ability called “Vine Climb”.

The Cave in Tales of Tanorio
Very atmospheric.

If you don’t want to have to deal with random encounters, make sure you have items such as Strong Repel, as it’ll keep the Tanorians away while you traverse the cave.

Going to need a lot of these, honestly.

While it might take you a good minute to get out of the cave, it’s a rather straightforward path. There’s no chance of getting lost, which is good for us. So long as you’re constantly moving forward, you’ll finally make it to your destination: Kaigan Cliffs.

That being said, you might also be interested in how to get the Legendary Flowither in the game!

The Duel at Kaigan Cliffs

Now that you’re finally here, just walk forward for a little bit until you come across a huge wooden bridge. Cross this bridge, and you’ll come face to face with this lady right here:

Best NPC in Tales of Tanorio
This here is the golden ticket!

This NPC’s name is Lisha, and — much like every other NPC you come across in the wild — she’s going to challenge you to a Tanorian Duel. The thing is, Lisha will challenge you to a double duel with a Level 32 Tombini and Obelusk.

Battling Lisha in Tales of Tanorio
A double Tanorian duel!

Compared to the match we had with Brandon, Lisha is less of a pushover. However, you know how these Pokémon-like games go. No matter how intimidating it might seem, it can be surprisingly easy because of what you’ve been through to get here.

Now, the thing is, winning this battle will get you less money at 1024 compared to Brandon. I suppose Brandon is just a spoiled rich kid or something. However, while it gives you less money, you’ll notice that you got QUITE a lot of EXP.

As if that wasn’t enough, you got EXP for two Tanorians instead of one, because it’s a double duel. For those who don’t want to waste time and get as much EXP as they can, Lisha is pretty much the most bang for buck.

Once you’re at a point where you can duel Lisha, you don’t really have to do much to gain either EXP or money. It becomes a relatively simple process from here on out!

Oh also, while you’re here: If you’re still new to the game, it’s important to learn the foundations of the game, so here’s a full beginner’s guide on all things Tales of Tanorio.
